I’ve been following a group on FB and I’ve seen so many people getting the green card before getting their combo cards. Most of them in 6 months are residents. Hope it is same to everybody. A lot of the people who got approved fast are k1 visa tho.

Weird question....

I'm going to pay for the AOS application with my credit card using Form G-1450 (and, irrelevant but, my husband is going to give me the cash so I have some US cash in my pocket until we can sort out bank accounts and I can transfer some of my Canadian savings down) but.....

My credit card is obviously still in my maiden name. I feel weird about signing the CC authorization form in my maiden name because I've signed my married name everywhere else on the submission. Dont i have to sign it as my maiden as that's what the name on the credit card reflects? Is that going to be a weird red flag on my forms?

Help me to feel calm please, lol....

I have worked in banking for 12 years. Some people never update their credit cards to their married name. As long as the name you sign matches the name on the credit card, you're fine. USCIS has no control over stuff like that, and if the name is not a match, your bank will likely decline the transaction.

What's the name of the FB group? Is it public? I'd love to follow too! :)

My Canadian former co-worker got married on a K1 in California in Sept 2017. She applied for AOS with EAD and AP and got her Greencard before her combo card in Dec 2017. There is hope.

No. Only your passport bio page as a sponsor if you are using that as your document to prove US citizenship for the I864 sponsorship.

Keep in mind.... If you are filing I485 AOS, I765 EAD and I131 AP the applicant will need 6 passport photos. Two 2"x2" for each form.

Ok thank you because I didn't see that anywhere in the application or online but some people were saying that I need my pictures as well.

If you could link where you saw that that may be helpful in determining what they were talking about...

It wasn't anything online just what some people told me so I wanted to check to make sure if I needed them.

Oh boy. I guess I made a mistake. I only sent two 2x2 photos with the whole package.

6 to be safe but 4 is a must. Although the whole package is sent to the Chicago lockbox the applications get dispersed to different processing centers.

I485 gets sent to you local field office and the I765 and I131 gets sent to the National Benefits Center. You most likely will get a checklist (RFE) from one of the two.
