NOA2 date September 11th.

I called into NVC today and was given the case number along with an invoice ID number.  I was told that the packet 3 hasn't been shipped out yet as the case number was just assigned today.  The rep said I will be receiving an email once they send packet 3 out to the embassy.

When did your case make it to the NVC? Mine arrived today but still no case number assigned, not yet anyway.

I wish I knew when it arrived at the NVC.  I thought I wasn't allowed to call until I hit 10 business days so I didn't even bother checking with them to see if they received the case.  I did not receive any text/email regarding the case arrival either.  Sorry I couldn't be much help.

Hi, I've recently received my case number via phone, but I am not about how to track it for some reason? I'm using this tracker:  https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

The K1 case number is BGT(YEAR)_ _ _ _ _ _

It's 13 characters all together and the embassy it's going to is Bogota. It's seems to say that there is an error. Am I doing something wrong?

Just called NVC and they received my application today. Still waiting on the number though.  I did call the non-immigrant line but not sure if that would make a difference or not. Hope everybody gets their soon.:D:D:D

At this stage you track it under immigrant visa & use your NVC case number

Sorry if this is off topic...anyone else have no immunization records? My fiancé does not have his so I am wondering if they will draw titers or make him get a bunch of immunizations?

My fiance just called NVC. It didn't take long, we were even chatting while he was on the phone. They asked for my Passport Number before he was able to talk to an agent.

The agent said they just received our case (NOA2 Sept. 13) and asked my fiance to call again on Friday.

That's good enough for me. 😊

Should I still go and email them? Hihi just to be sure.

It wouldn't hurt. That way you have a paper copy to use at SLEC for the medical.

Once you receive your case number it's time to be in charge of what time you choose when things get done. To smooth that trail for you I have a few things that will help you process your visa there in the Philippines.

Start by visiting Hanks site where he has taken the time and research, and of course it helps if you spent 8 plus years helping folks in the Philippines sub-forum get their visas, where he has listed each step. With those steps he includes the what, when and why to completing the item. Many have used the website and have had little or NO problems securing a visa from USEM.

http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

Next you'll want to connect with those who are processing through the Philippines in the VJ Philippines sub-forum that way you will be with like minded ppl who are sharing their experiences and also asking and answering questions. Since most in this thread are processing through another country they would be hard pressed to explain what is needed for the Philippines.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

You'll find this on Hank's website but I will give it to you early and that is the Packet 3 Letter for USEM. It's found here:

https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/

Here is the Packet 3 letter.

https://ph.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/82/2016/08/K1-and-K2-Applicant-Interview-Preparation-Instructions-08112016-English-336KB.pdf

There you have it. Everything you need to get your visa. Good luck and smooth sailing.

They will look over your arms for scars, take blood and interview you to determine what vaccinations are needed. Once you are finish and you receive your medical records be sure somewhere there is a DS-3025 form which tells whomever what vaccinations you have and you will need that for your AOS after marriage. Be sure to make a copy for your records and keep it safe.

For all things dealing with the US Embassy in Canada head on over to the subforum for Canada where they will answer your questions for the processing of your visa from their personal experience. Link:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/93-canada/

Get the Canadian K1 P3 letter at http://photos.state.gov/libraries/canada/303578/montreal/Packet3-K1-MTL.pdf as this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use the P3 as a check list. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview. If it is not on the Embassy letter, it probably is not needed.

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for you country so that you are up to speed.

You track it as a "immigrant" visa. The K-1 process is quite strange. For a time, it is both a non-immigrant and immigrant visa type. That is why the links (what you received in the email) will send you the process for immigrant which would be the I-864 and DS-260 even though it truly is a non-immigrant visa requiring I-134 and the DS-160. As you go through the stages, within the NVC system you look up your file under immigrant (ceac.state.gov/). It stays that way until after your interview and the approval and your visa is ready for issue. At that point, it changes over to non -immigrant. It truly is a non-immigrant visa with immigrant intent.

After you get your case number from NVC it would be a good idea if you were to connect with the VJ sub forum for all things dealing with the US Embassy in Colombia and they will answer your questions for the processing of your visa from their personal experience. Link:

Get the US Embassy Colombian K-1 Packet 3 (P3) at  https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7hB3bl9Snfkb0NiMVFUd2JsVjA/view  as this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use the EL as a check list. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview. If it is not on the Embassy letter, it probably is not needed.

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for your country so that you are up to speed.

One last place to check for information would be the VJ Wiki found here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Special:AllPages and here http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Colombia&cty=Bogota

Good luck and God's speed.

We suggest not calling for 10 business days from NOA2. You would have had to sign up for email notification. It's advisable to contact NVC via https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html to update your email address as well as your beneficiary's email address.
