You know, the more I think about it, the more I feel emami vs neilsen is pretty much useless at this point. We can infer everything they are asking for from information people are posting  - that they are not denying spouse/IR, they are simply putting everyone between 16 and 65 into AP with a donkey SAO. All numbers are meaningless, the only thing that determines how long it will take is how long the donkey SAO takes. Which is as confusing a blackhole as it always has been and this case will get no clarity on that.

A heard of a case from Syria, (spouse visa), he was interviewed in Qatar, and he was rejected under the ban. No AP. He fleed Syria before the war started.

Ok so there is a lot of confusion around this. Initially everyone was rejected. First even if you are in ap sometimes the status says refused on CEAC. I know dozens of people got updated email saying status changes to AP after initial refusal. Since may 1st no one i know of has been refused on 212 f. I have seen dozens of interviews happen since. Many of whom are members on this site. No one refused 212 f for spouse and fiance.

Hi everyone,

Has anyone heard cases of people being refused or approved under the travel ban holding only a passport from a banned country but who did not born and never lived in the banned country?

PS: There are countries where do not give citizenship by birth. Therefore,  new borns take their parents nationality.

Thank you!

Yes, your status says refused, but your were given a list of questions - that is standard procedure. Once you submit the list of questions answer (which is essentially form Ds 5535 ) your status should revert back to AP eventually. This is what I have seen with everyone. You are being considered for a waiver. That is why they asked you to answer those questions. This does not mean you are refused and dead in the water.

thats mean i got refused because 212(F) ... thus any case got an  refusal you are alligable for a waiver or appeal .. this how things works

Well, everything I am seeing is pointing to things improving. Last december, there were flat out denials, spouses, children, fiances. Now, there are no longer denials. I have seen everyone who goes to interview gets a paper that usually says 9645 AP. Which means, that after they finish AP, visa will be printed. I have personally seen multiple IR and K visas printed with "Presidential Proclamation Waived" written on it. So its not all bad. Keep hope, it will all fall into place.

There were 2 k1s and 2 ir1 for iran. Yerevan and abu dhabi that i know of.

A number of yemenis also got visas in djibouti. I think like 40 or so.

I also know atleast 1 syrian f2a. And then there are numerous b1 b2s.

But again. The numbers have fallen significantly. I did some analysis on before and after here:
