I know a guy whose wife interviewed in January and received the visa in May. We interviewed end of  June and we are still waiting!

Well did she have a residency in Amman , Jordan ? I believe Syrians that have/had residency outside syria have a better chance at getting the visa!

Where did you get this information? June numbers are release in july. If you see my post i posted numbers for june total across all iv categories is 31 for syria last yr it was 300. Yemen was 49 last yr it was 500. July numbers will be released around aug 25th.

If you count non immigrant visas also numbers are much higher but significantly lesser than same time last year.

Hey all,

Iranian citizen here. Interviewed for CR-1 recently. I was placed in AP immediately. No refusal. I also had to fill out 5535 and send to embassy later.

I lived in the US for 5.5 years and got married IN THE US. But had to leave for husband's studies. I agree that the ban has been translated to mandatory AP for 100% of the cases.

Unfortunately not all cases. A friend of a friend, got rejected. Not AP at all. Just rejection :(

Hopefully you get your visa soon. I wish you all the best!!! and thank you so much for letting us know what happened with your case. It gives us hope!

In December and January there were a lot of blanket rejections. There was confusion all over so they reject to save their rear end. No one gets fired for rejecting a visa.

Since things smooth out in feb march no spouse or fiance is being rejected and original refusals are being reversed.
