congrats!! New Orleans is a fun city, but boy is the USCIS slow here?! URGH! hahaha
I actually scheduled an infopass, cuz believe it or not there's always appointments available, unlike Houston or other busy cities.
It probably won't help me and they'll say what's in the website, but hoping to at least know whatever piece of extra information they give me.
kinda frustrating cuz I read like three pages back in this thread and everyone seem to have their interviews scheduled here already.

You cannot compare AOS times just looking at random ppl. You need to find somebody with the same local office as you....

Unfortunately the time between different offices can be 10+ months or more....

The infopass most likely won't help you. Will be surprised if  they are actually going to tell you more than you already know or could obtained from the helpline...

Let us know how it goes.

I know that, no reason to be rude. My office is quite small compared to some others. Therefore the amount of data available in this forum is not as exciting as some other offices. I've been using a lot of the fb group to try adding info I see here and there. It's quite annoying to have to private message people and be completely ignored though. You never know whether the person got their interview or if they are just not using this forum anymore.
The only reason why I scheduled the infopass is because every time I looked at the appointments there were TONS of times available. I don't feel like I'm taking anyone's place that really needs to go, cuz you can literally schedule 3 days of the week in different times.
I'm sure they won't tell me anything new, but at least I'll feel like I'm doing something any not just waiting here. Besides I'm waiting to start a new job, so I got some time available to do this right now. If they do tell me something we all didn't know I'll let you know

I don't think i was rude. But if u felt like it I am sorry. Btw  if you would have known that, you would not be complaining about that others received thier GC in this group and you didn't.....

Apologize to y'all if you think I was the one rude. We're here to support and help each other and I'm sorry if I was rude

so I actually learned couple of things on the infopass that I'd like to share (Maybe y'all already knew, but I didn't know):

So when your "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" it doesn't mean that it's in your local office. It's still at the NBC or Texas I guess depending on where you're applying from.
Your local office will ask for an amount of cases for that day or week to conduct the interviews. That's when the NBC will send that certain amount of cases to your local office.
So the officer who talked to me was able to see my case from the computer and say it's not in the local office yet, it's in the line to be sent, but he didn't have access to what "position" I am in that line.
He also gave me an estimate of when my interview would probably happen. He said July, cuz that's how long it's taking in my office (Way better information than: between 10,5 months and 22 months provided by the uscis website)
I asked about the medical examination because I see a lot of k1s retaking the exams after it expires. However both the officers I talked today said that the k1 examination won't expire, what might happen is that your doctor back in your home country might have put that's incomplete. in which case they'll ask you to retake it. That actually made me wonder if mine is complete, I hope so, but I guess I won't be retaking any exams before the interview.
Anyway, hopefully that was helpful to someone.
They were very polite and nice, and not at all disrespectful! I was glad to know they didn't just repeat whatever the website/app or call service says.
