Not pure socialism by a long shot, but in general, younger people are less hostile to socialism. People in her age group graduated from high school during a brutal economic recession and some are still stuck with their parents in their mid twenties. Perhaps it's not surprising if they are not as optimistic about the ability of free market capitalism to solve every problem that comes before it.

It’s ok to want things to be better.  But to be ignorant or blind as to the experiences of other socialistic nations would be a poor choice.

I think a lot of people get socialism mixed up with the Nordic Social Democracy. Because everyone says they want socialism and then they start mentioning all the Nordic countries.

Heck, it seems as though half of Americans don’t understand the difference between democracy and republic.

It's a lot like when I weighed 275 lbs (before gastric bypass surgery).  There was a very vain young lady with whom I worked.  EVERY time we had a company wide photo taken, she always made sure she was standing next to me..........

btw:  The decision to get gastric bypass surgery was one of the best decisions of my life....

No,  Pelosi is like Feinstein are Liberals but not Bernie Liberals. All the while a lot of these new Democrats are really Bernie Democrats are tired of having the Pelosi's and Crowleys spoon feed them BS about being progressive when in reality all they are in it for is the money.

I didn't know that about you and thank goodness it went good for you. I have heard some bad stories about it going badly for people because they don't curtail their eating habits. So they lose the weight and then end it up gaining it back again. I even knew one person who has a family member have gastric reversed because the new smaller stomach expanded to be almost the same size as the old one.

My x-wife had it done when we were married in hopes that she could become more attractive and thus stop me from cheating(I know I know I was a dog back in the day). What happened was that she lost more than what she gained after meeting me and thus developed a even worse attitude than what she had in the beginning(Never about looks but attitude for me). Which accelerated my decision for a divorce. Now I am married for 5+ years now to my wonderful wife.
