Sorry if this has been asked before.  But does anyone know the difference between the two USCIS sites?  When we did K1, all we used was the egov USCIS site.  Now for AOS we have an account on both the egov and DHS sites.

On the egov site, it shows our status as 'Case is ready to schedule for interview' Yay!

However, on the DHS site it still says they are reviewing your biotmetrics and still processing the case.  I thought maybe it would take a day or so to update, but the egov site updated to case is ready on May 21.

Anyone else have a similar situation?  Thanks!

I have the exact same situation as you do.

The DHS one seems to be newer and more updated, but requires a secure account to use. The other has no personal information associated with it and only uses a receipt number.

My guess is they will eventually retire or revamp the eGov one.  I can't speak on the topic, but I'll just say there is potentially an awarded contract for the latter case (or other website changes).

Thanks for the reply, and that makes sense.  Just seems odd that they would provide a status update on the old site and not the new one.

My theory is as well that they eventually gid rid of the old tracker but during the transition phase both are available. You know how it is :) You have something new but you need to train everyone to use the new software but it takes some time because everyone is so used to the old version and they just know how to use it. Besides, it is more work to update two trackers. We actually had two trackers in our company and everyone was so happy when we got rid of one. So I feel their pain. haha

When our interview was scheduled the egov website updated, but the DHS one did not.
