DAY 130.

Hoping October doesn't end without that EAD and me losing the job offer. Considering I have 5 days left, I don't know. I probably have to give up the job. :(

:(

weve hit say 137 so unless you are super lucky I don’t think so!

Saying prayers to the guy upstairs and hopefully we don't need luck! I am the most impatient person I know, I shouldn't have prayed for patience lol, I don't want it anymore, I want my EAD. Maybe someone looks at my expedite today.

Yay!

Not sure re your EAD, I assume that would depend on how long it takes till your GC interview is actually scheduled. You should check the processing times for your service center.

Mine has been ready for interview since July 24th, but I'm in LA, so mine will take a lot longer than those with other offices since Cali is the busiest office, I believe.

Hello Alabamak1

No, I only received the approval notice. No delivery or tracking number.

my concern is when I would receive the travel permission. I called yesterday but I didn’t get information but the uscis website account update. So I don’t know if the site is not up to date and the mail would be delivered even it is only saying approved.

Hi guys, you guys are way ahead of me...I will be filing in November.  I need your experience if you received your EAD card by now.

I am planning to get my fiance(male) SSN within 2 weeks of his POE and then get married after. no name change for him.  so when i fill out form I-765 on page 2, Question 13a-15. what was your check boxes? I plan to check yes for 13a and put SSN in 13b if i get it at a reasonable time.  What about question 14 and 15? i heard people are checking yes and they end up with another SS card, I get it if you are a female and need name change. but in my case my fiance (the beneficiary) is a male and is not changing his last name. what would you advise me to do. i figured it doesn't matter what I check, worse that can happen is he gets another card in the mail when he gets EAD? please share your experience if the beneficiary is a male. thanks!

VJ has examples of all visa forms, you should check those for your benefit.

SSN can be applied for after 2-3 days of POE already, rather than 2 weeks. It's done digitally these days, so the I94 stuff mostly updates overnight after arrival. I went to SSN office a couple days after POE. SSN card took about a week to receive. I went back after our legal wedding to get my name changed and then filled out AoS papers with married name and new SSN.

For your questions above though - indeed check no for q14.

I would say, just wait till he gets his SSN to fill out all the papers.

Thanks for your quick response! Based on the October AOS filers, the SSN timeline varies, some have waited 4-6 weeks, they did manual verification, that's probably why!  I hope i get my SSN before i file AOS, if not, then i'll check yes for questions 14 & 15<_<
