Finally some progress on my case. My case file was transferred from Islamabad Embassy to Montreal.

Got an email from Montreal to complete and submit Packet 3.

Can some one elaborate on what a packet 3 is? I wasn't asked to fill this before when they scheduled the interview in Islamabad.

Thank you.

So, I'M reading this and it stressed me a little, maybe I read it wrong.

We received today an email from National visa center asking to complete the next step, it ask to pay fees, complete the IV form DS-260 than submit require financial and civil documents (which I'd like some information about if someone has it). After we send that they will give us an appointment for interview ( I read we must have doctor appointment at least 2 weeks before that interview).

My question is, once I paid and send the require documents how much time it takes to have an appointment for the interview at Montreal? Of what I see here it can takes months? Like not only 2-3 months but a lot more?

I'm a bit confuse and it stress me. When my husband came here (Montreal, Canada) 5 years ago it took in total 8 months for him to have his residency, its already a year and 2 months we sent our papers for me to have my residency in US. A bit long for a couple that are together for 8-9 years and married for 6 years. Is that normal?

What is EB1, EB2, 3 and CC to interview?

Hi

EB visas are Employment Based Immigrant visas and CC is case complete (documentarily qualified in terms of the National Visa Center process).  So the CC to interview is the number of days between the time a persons case was complete at the NVC and the date of the interview at the US Consulate (in Montreal for this thread)
