I would think that there is no more mission critical, given the ban is lifted, and everything should be back to normal. Otherwise the lift of ban is meaningless.

Long backlog for sure. But I doubt the backlog is any longer than the day before the ban in March 2020. Reason is that as soon as the ban was imposed, I would assume that NVC did stop processing any cases, so everything would be stuck at the NVC.

anyway, I just hope Montreal Consulate maintain the same queue. So we all have some idea where we stand.

The biggest question is : are they going to resume normal IV service immediately? at the normal speed as before COVID? or at the low speed at excuse of COVID?

at least, the light is seen on the other end of tunnel now.

My NVC case was completed mid-Jun, awaiting appointment at the Montreal consulate.

can anyone starting a spreadsheet so that we can see where we are in the queue.

I've converted the spreadsheet image using OCR, text exported might not be accurate.

I suggest we start fresh on the tracking, given old data in 2019 and early 2020 is now irrelevant. The new tracker can give us true idea how fast it is moving.

- hope you guys agree

I created a new doc file, and removed those who got the interview

- and data is sorted by Document Complete date,

- country of birth is added (optional)

for new addition, you can use the attached file, and edit accordingly

Thanks @Stephenc111 and @topman for getting the ball rolling. Hopefully folks check in here and we can get a sense of what the backlog and movement looks like while waiting :)

thanks guys for updating your cases on the GoogleDoc. So, pretty much no interview calls even after waiting for 8-15 months in Montreal for Employment based visas? My priority date is more than decade old from 2010 and it just became current for me in March bulletin. I cannot expect an interview call in the next 12 months eh?

Well, since March 2020, all the existing appointments were cancelled due to COVID, and then with the Proclamation in place, the NVC wasn’t able to schedule any interviews either so the last 12 months were a wash. Seems like just before March, folks who had NVC case complete around Nov 2019 were having their interviews scheduled (and a few from earlier in 2019 but we don’t know if that’s just coz they didn’t update/return to the forum). I’m hopeful that the consulate can start scheduling EB interviews when the NVC fills the March interview slots in Montreal. Sounds like IR1/CR1 slots filled up on Feb 4 this month so perhaps March first/second week we can get a sense. Fingers crossed!

Not sure if it provides any context but we received an email in March with an appt for April 20th.  This was a family petition by my daughter. Needless to say, Covid hit and the appt got cancelled. I was pretty upset that I had paid a good deal of money on the medical exams which probably are now useless since they are supposedly only good for 6 months. So yeah, after years of waiting the appt got cancelled 3 1/2 weeks before the interview.
