Our appointment was scheduled for April 24th. They simply send us an email saying "The appointment(s) at the Consular Section Montreal for the following applicant(s) were cancelled" and a link for us to reschedule, but no available dates right now.

Thank you for this info.  What visa category are you?

Considering the recent order, what happens now? no visas, right?

If it is at the consulate you get at least a 60 day wait.

So, I'M reading this and it stressed me a little, maybe I read it wrong.

We received today an email from National visa center asking to complete the next step, it ask to pay fees, complete the IV form DS-260 than submit require financial and civil documents (which I'd like some information about if someone has it). After we send that they will give us an appointment for interview ( I read we must have doctor appointment at least 2 weeks before that interview).

My question is, once I paid and send the require documents how much time it takes to have an appointment for the interview at Montreal? Of what I see here it can takes months? Like not only 2-3 months but a lot more?

I'm a bit confuse and it stress me. When my husband came here (Montreal, Canada) 5 years ago it took in total 8 months for him to have his residency, its already a year and 2 months we sent our papers for me to have my residency in US. A bit long for a couple that are together for 8-9 years and married for 6 years. Is that normal?

Doesnt matter how long you've been together. It's the same wait.  Are you  a spousal visa? If so this isnt the thread for you, this is for work based immigration.

Hello everyone,
I am waiting for EB3 and wanted to ask if anyone had any contact from consulates, specifially Montreal embassy regarding any visa progression as the consulates are slowly opening up?
Especially with the August Visa Bulletin progression I wanted to know if there has been any update for some people for Montreal Embassy.
Thank you in advance and hope everyone have a great day!

EB3s are currently under a ban and no visa can be issued for this category. I wouldn't expect this category to open up for the remainder of the year, and the outcome of the election will have a big impact
