arrived at USCIS (day after post office) on Nov 30. Approved on Dec 7th.

4 business days bc Wed was a holiday.

@TandSarahJane she haven’t send our rfe back still waiting for my intent to marry letter her agency wanted the wet signature not just scanned copy philippine post office is taking forever 😭

Yeah took a while also for me to get the letter from my fiancé . But as soon as I received it I sent it Back to uscis

@Poohnispongy My rfe still hasn’t been approved. They received it on 16th Nov. Just a waiting game for now.

@BritishG it’s a mystery why some are approve in days some takes longer but we don’t have a choice but to wait

It will take a month or more for the letter to arrive in the US if it does ever arrive. The "wet" signature for a letter of intent is not necessary. Scanned copies for USCIS is OK from beneficiary. But, beneficiary needs to submit original's at the interview.

 

I've said it before that the agency's and lawyers do not know what they are doing. Stop using the agent, as it is causing you unnecessary delays in this process. You can get all your information here on VJ especially in the sub-forum for the Philippines.

No mystery. The background checks are done on everyone and all have different backgrounds and come from country's with different political views from the USA. The process is very entailed. Much of it we don't know. They are doing background checks on the two of you, not just you and not just the petitioner.

These background checks consist of four separate checks against systems within Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In order to facilitate the collection and transmission of information necessary to complete background check processes, USCIS maintains five information technology electronic systems: the Fingerprint Masthead Notification System (FMNS), the Customer Identity Capture System (CICS), the FD-258 Tracking System - Mainframe (FD-258 MF), the Benefits Biometrics Support System (BBSS), and the Interagency Border Inspection System (IBIS) Manifest. Was asked to put together the numbers for June, so I figured I'd do one more pass at May while I'm at it...

Currently for May I-129F/CSC timelines here, we've got 136 unapproved (20 with RFEs listed), and 193 approved. So ~58.7% approved, and 64.7% with some action taken (and recorded on their timeline).

 

Good luck to those of you still waiting for NOA2. Hope you can move on to waiting on NVC and waiting for an interview soon.

1) lawyers tend to cause more problems than they are worth. If you can read and follow instructions and are detail oriented, this is not complicated. read read read and read more on here. read things you dont think apply. Retain all that information. if in question about anything, ask before submitting.

2) for the initial K1 you do not need to provide financials. Your parents can co sponsor if needed at the time of interview and for AOS

ok last question and its been killing me, because i am so stressed about this

My gf (born in india) who has been living in the UK for the last 12 years or so, overstayed in the UK for about 4 years back in 2008 because the lawyer misinformed them about renewing their visa.... 

 

when we file the fiance visa for her to move to the US, will they hold this against her? 

I don't know why it would because us filing a k1 indicates she is trying to move out of london and come to America. 

any advice or feedback?

She overstayed in England or in the US?

 

im not sure they care so much about overstays in other countries, but im not positive
