Interesting. I’ve renewed my California DL three times and never received the card right away. I had to wait in the mail. I guess each DMV at each state is different.

Hi, does anyone know how long will they look into my RFE? Today my website said they received my RFE, when can I get my ead ? When will they look into my RFE ?

HAPPY POST!!!

 

I just went to my mail box and I have recieved 3 separate letters from USCIS!!

 

One telling me my interview is scheduled for November 27th! Wohoo!

 

Another saying my EAD has been approved and that they will send my card separately (how long does this take?!!)

 

Lastly, THE MOST IMPORTANT - AP approved!!! 

 

My wait is is finally over!!

 

I filed on April 2nd, recieved an RFE September 25th and all approved/interview scheduled - 22nd October! 

 

Maaan that took long.

I recieved notice that I had been issued an RFE on September 25th. On October the 3rd they recieved my response, my case then updated to interview scheduled on October 17th

Very excited and super nervous. Funny how my ADJ OF S interview is scheduled next month and my EAD and AP are still on “recieved”.

This kinda happened to me too! My interview is on the 27th of November! Once my case changed to “interview scheduled” about a week later my AP/EAD changed to approved. I bet yours will do the same!

Hi community! We got our 'Initial Request for Evidence' 4 months after filing for AOS, EAD and AP. Apparently we missed a tax document..We now sent the latest tax info for 2017 AND 2016. We included every page (20 pages per year) so should be ok now..

 

2 questions:

• Will a RFE that was meant for my AOS affect when I'll receive my EAD?
• If so, does anyone have an idea how long it will approx. take for them to send me my EAD from this moment on? I read on some forums that this will 'restart' the clock! Other forums says it will pick up where it left off.

Sometimes an RFE resets the clock, sometimes it doesn't. It honestly varies. We got an RFIE as well but it didn't reset our clock. We received our EAD within 5 months of filing and 2 months after the RFIE.

For us...I filled everything on the 24th of April, received an RFE in July and was able to respond back to them. Now my cases is still received and I'm still waiting for my EAD. I'm now outside the normal processing times, so recently I submitted an inquiry in my case. They said that the'll get back to me, so let's hope so.
