My k1 visa interview is tomorrow in London and i've just discovered that i require evidence for the i134 siiiiigh.

I am irritated i didn't personally look into this until cos somehow my fiancee hasn't realised and has just sent the i134 itself and she assured me that no evidence was required when i queried her last week.

So, i'm just going to take the i134 and explain and say i can get the supporting evidence posted to them asap and hopefully that will be alright  - i've seen reviews of others saying they didn't have various documents and they still got conditional approvals.

And i shall be having a stern word with my love when she wakes up!

*deep breath* wish me luck

By evidence, do you mean her w2s, tax transcripts? She could scan them in as pdf and email them to you to print out and take.

Probably not required

Each Embassy/Consulate has there own set of rules

I'm gonna have her scan and email me what she has for sure.

The UK embassy just states it requires a i186 but if you look closer it says i134 (i freaked out about this last week cos i thought she'd sent me the wrong thing) and the instructions for the i34 say a letter from the employer, bank details (opening date/amount deposited etc) and a tax return if self employed which she isn't. But other people's experiences show that they usually just take a tax return or several pay stubs.

The whole visa experience has been like the blind leading the blind as official instructions never seem to apply and everyone has a difference experience with the various steps lol. I'm glad its almost over.

London don't need a mountain of evidence but they certainly want something...

All you can do is get her to send what she has electronically and if they accept it fab, if not then you'll have a delay getting your visa, it's not the end of the world just not what you want at this stage :)

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

London embassy is not as difficult as others are so you should not encounter majors problems. Get everything sent to you by email. If they need anything else they will let you know.

As for giving your future spouse a stern word,  do not do it when she wakes up... At least give her enough time to have her breakfast. It will be less traumatic for her. :P

Avoid the drama and self sponsor

Still have the stern words, obviously.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Get her to scan her latest tax return plus W2 and email to you.

OR better yet, get a tax return transcript online from the IRS. Then you don't need W2s. Link https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

Skip the bank info and employer letter because of time crunch. The latest pay slips will be easy.

This is YOUR interview so not really her responsibility to prepare for you. Better harass yourself 😉

Really it isn't an issue, can you UPDATE or start your timeline...so we can know if it is justified to be so worried and upset, lol.

Done! I've chilled now lol. My fiancee is on the case. Does the timeline justify it then?

Is she aware that you can self sponsor at the London Consulate.
