Travel Ban, is it renewed?

Hello,

My fiance is a Syrian national and she is included in the travel ban, Presidential Proclamation 9645.  The Supreme Court allowed/approved this Order to go into effect on December 6, 2017, it has been 90 days since then. My understanding that the Court approved the Order for 90 days.  Is this ban still in effect? is it still active? or has it been renewed by the president? Or does the ban keep on until a court deem it invalid, and then the ban get stopped?

 

I searched, Googled, and did what I could to find any information, but without any luck. any one knows?

 

PS: our I129f application is still at the USCIS review stage, did not yet go to Homeland Security, or the visa issuing agency;  But shortly it should.

As far as I'm aware it is not a 90 day thing anymore, it's just as it stands.

 

How it affects specifically K-1 or CR-1/IR-1 visas is kind of sketchy to me.

There are provisions for waivers, but they have been EXTREMELY rare...this article is dated 3/6/2018

It is. The exact restrictions vary by country, but generally the K class and immigrant visas are impacted.

It's not limited by 90 days, either.

Several news reports came out over the past 24 hours showing only about 100 waivers have been issued for these restrictions.

Although all cases are still considered under case by case bases, but a Fiance is included in the ban.  A fiance is not considered a bonafide connection, a wife is.

This ban includes ALL immigrant and non-immigrant visas......bona fide connections included.

1. Incorrect. A fiance has been included as a bona fide relationship to the US. There was talk of it not being included in early versions, but no enacted version of a ban/restriction (that included the bona fide relationship exclusion) did not include a fiance.
2. The bona fide relationship piece expired in Oct. 2017. That is no longer an exclusion to any restrictions.

Very , very rare as evidenced by this part of the article I linked above.

Thank you, this article is clear but very sad for me.  What should a law abiding, tax paying citizen do to live his/her life the right way?!!

Based on this article and other information, even if I get married to my fiance, she would still not get a visa.  right?

Yes, that is correct, sorry. You still have a bit of hope though: the Supreme Court will rule on the ban in June (most likely), so there is a chance it will be ruled unconstitutional and discarded.
