thaaaaanks a lot :)

a quick review on the appointment:

so i was there 15 min earlier and i had to go through security etc...

i was super confused as the security guard said i have to open the medical envelope (sealed) as i'm not allowed

to bring in a sealed envelope? well i was scared but i had to...

once i was in there, and all alone, no other people waiting or such, someone came to the window after 10-15 min waiting,

and she asked for all papers. i handed my entire pile and she went through it. we didn't have the tax return, but instead the i-134 for 2016 and 2017

(as we had 2016 ready since november). so then she asked me if i want to pick up next week or if they should send the passport.

and she explained to me the steps how to enter the country, how to take enough time for the officer interview at the customs,

and how to get married in 90 days. then she sent me to the next window to talk to an officer.

this officer was super friendly but has asked me a tooon of questions! when did you first meet, how did you meet,

when did your mother meet him the first time, how often do you see each other. how many times did you see each other last year?

where is your typical layover? where is his home? do you know his full address? what is his job? where does he work? how long

has he been working for this company? when is your wedding? (after i explained we'll have a small one when i get there and the

big one in october he asked more...) so do you have a date for october?

and i had to "sign" with fingerprints and he said they'll send me everything back next week so i'll have it by wednesday or thursday.

he wished me a great weekend and a great start into my new life in the USA!

that was it :D bam!!! walked out with a big ol' smile and still, no other peopl

it was a great and quick experience, they were friendly and didn't make it hard on me.

so happy for you lady!!!

WE GOT IT!!!!

My fiancee said the process was very smooth, but she had to wait a while. Total time was about 2 hours...

she's coming here in mid may! FINALLY!!!!!

That's fantastic news. Hope you guys will write about her experience in a bit more detail at some point. What questions did they ask her?

I don't know if I'm answering this correct so I'm hoping @Greenbaum sees this.

But I think it's a no because they're asking if anyone has filed a petition before, prior to the one you're applying for now.

I also think we are considered immigrant visas once the NVC hands it off to the consulate.

If they have not applied for an immigrant or nonimmigant visa before the answer is NO.

Quick question, if the status on this site says ready, does that mean its been received at the Embassy?

https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

If so:

NOA1: 9-25

NOA2: 3-28

NVC Received: 4-?

NVC Case: 4-13

NVC Left: 4-18

Embassy Received: 4-20 (Ready Status)

@Greenbaum the question is very clear as to if anyone applied for immigrant petition? I applied for work visa which is non-immigrant visa, so I’m assuming the answer is No. before that question it did ask have you been refused any US visa before and I answered Yes to that and explained why it was refused. But the next visa specifically asks for immigrant petition.
