Thank you to everyone on this forum. I selfishly have followed for years and have only contributed a few times. Even then, my contributions were fairly selfish. I truly appreciate this community and how helpful and encouraging everyone has been. I wish everyone the best of luck not only with this process but with your lives and journeys.

My wife and I are expecting our first child in a few months. Our journey is beginning yet again!!

Ok, my turn to update you on my process.

So, we moved to California in January, and that triggered an RFE for good faith marriage. We replied in March, and our case was moved to the National Benefits Center.

We moved again this past Saturday to a new apartment and I received a call today from the Field Office close to our house saying that we have our interview scheduled on June 4th!!! Woohoo!!

They said that they sent me an interview letter but it was sent back to them, so they called me to be sure I was aware of the interview. The lady who I spoke to was super nice!!! Very excited to put an end to this process :D

I haven't applied for citizenship yet.

Congratulations on the progress! We're in a similar situation as we moved right before submitting our I-751 and received an RFE last month. We submitted the additional evidence a couple weeks ago and I'm thinking we might also be interviewed. If you don't mind my asking, would it be possible for you to report back with the types of questions they asked you in the interview? I'm feeling a bit nervous about a potential interview and, like everyone else, very much looking forward to this stage being over. Good luck in the interview and cheers to almost being done!

I will definitely do so. I am not worried at all, and neither should you! Are you in love? If the answer is YES, that's all it matters.

We don't have kids and we have never owned a house. We are young and in love, and we LOVE traveling and experience life. Just stay positive!

"Don't worry, be happy" :P I will update you in a couple of weeks with the questions!

Just got turned away for schengen visa because date of departure is 2 months before my extension letter ends even though I told them that I have a pending application and that my status does not expire. USCIS office won’t give me a stamp until 1 month before it ends. This is utterly ridiculous. I don’t know if I’m furious or sad at how we’re treated during this process. Does anyone have any ideas on what I should do? Last resort I can think of is to walk into USCIS office and beg for one from the manager/supervisor. Has anyone had any experience doing this??

I'm sorry to hear that ,we are treated so bad during this long processing time.i believe you could try anther embassy I mean chose different country to be you entry to Europe.regarding to walk in and talk with someone it should be where you application is I mean like  CSC.

Hopefully you get good news soon about your application and don't need all of that .

I'm sorry you got treated this way, but thats the whole reason you have the extension letter to save them resources at field offices.  can you imagine if everyone went for a visa stamp?

Why do you need the stamp, the only reason I can see them stamping your passport was if you were out of the country while your extension letter expired.

they won't accept application unless I have evidence of US residency that is still valid 3 months after I leave the schengen area. its ridiculous granted that i have legitimate employment in the US. not like i'm going to stay past that date anyway.
