I called on 4/1 to expedite EAD based on financial loss. They told me id hear something in 5 days. So far, I heard nothing. No one asked me to send proof or fax or anything. I called Friday and they said I should just keep waiting. How long did it take for you to hear something after submitting the request?

40 days

Check https://egov.uscis.gov under your I-765 application.  It should say that your SR was opened.  If there is no mention of the SR under your I-765, call USCIS and make sure it was opened.

If it says that your SR was completed, that means that an officer looked at your case and sent a request for additional evidence.  If you haven't received it by email, then the officer chose to mail it--it might take up to two weeks to receive in the mail.  It takes about a week, on average, to get an officer assigned to your case.

If it says that your SR was rejected, then you'll receive a rejection letter in the mail.

If the SR was opened, but it does not say anything else, then all you can do is wait.  You won't receive these (SR-specific) updates by email or text, so you just have to check periodically, or wait for the mail to come.

I received an email the next day, requesting further proof via fax.

Update: I just got an email from USCIS saying the "we received your documents in support of your request to expedite the decision on your application. Your case is currently under review. You will receive a decision or notice of further action shortly"

Has anyone else received this kind of email after they sent their evidence? I sent my evidence 2 weeks ago exactly. When i log in to my account there are updates with todays date on it but it reads the same as before:

04/08/2019 : your request to have your case expedited, referral number#####, was completed

04/08/2019: we sent a response to your request to have your case expedited

04/08/2019: your request .....was assigned to an officer

03/25/2019: we sent a response to your request to have your case expedited (***this is the email that told me to fax information to support my request)

I'm confused --- it doesnt seem like anyone else has had this happen? Just approve me already :( lol !!

Who knows. Hopefully any day now. Please update the thread when you do get it--it'll be helpful for others to see some concrete timelines. Good luck!

Under which situation did you apply for it? And which center worked your case?

Sure, are you already applied for your expedite?

Yes, but the timelines are different for everybody. Someone may get approved after a week, someone else after a month. Someone else may be denied after a month. 1-2 weeks seems about average, but it's not unheard of to wait longer.

All marriage based EADs are processed at NBC.

I applied for severe financial hardship, on the basis that I had a job offer and obligatory student loan repayments in my home country. I think all EAD and AP cards are dealt with by the NBC. Mine was, anyway.

So confused. 41 days after filing and 3 weeks after expedite request our Travel doc was just approved. Ead hasn't changed status. What does that mean? I thought its a combo card? Got a late night notification on the new site only.

I would think you’ll probably get both, then. My updates only quoted EAD, not AP until I actually received letters. Then it was stated that both had been approved. It should be a combo card, yes.
