Did they say why they couldnt file it for you? Thats really strange that they told you that.

She simply said she couldn't. But I was going to file for expedition request via phone calls anyway so it wasn't such a big deal for me.

I dont know who posted the screenshots or where everyone is in the expediting process- but from my observations/experiences if you got updates that show the following:

1.assigned to an officer 2. response 3 completed

That usually means it was denied. first its assigned to an officer. Then they sent a response (a no), then they close the request (completed).

If you apply for an expedite over the phone its a risk you take. Basically the phone rep takes a min amount of info and submits a request. The Officer then looks at it and sends a 'response'. If they feel your situation (from the limited info they have) qualifies they will send you info on how to submit proof. So number 3 wont say complete. It only shows complete when its done. If its shows complete and you didnt send proof then you were denied before they even saw it.

If you apply through infopass you can give them all your documents when you apply.

I agree with @NancyLyz. From what I have read so far (ideally most recent cases) they got the same update and afterwards received the request for evidence. Maybe you can give some links to topics? I was not able to give any evidence or any information about why I am expediting. The customer rep said that they would reach out to me within 5 business days and it has been 2 business days so far. So the theory sound very implausible to me. Especially if it was this case they actually are working much fast than expected.

I have to take my last post back. I just read in another topic that it does indeed mean that it is denied. I will be calling USCIS now. I was not aware that we are suppose to give evidence/information on the phone already. This makes me so mad. I thought they will ask for actual proof and not just deny from the start.

I just called USCIS. Of course she couldn’t tell me much because I don’t have a written denial yet.

She did confirm that the officers take a decision based on the submitted evidence to see if the applicant falls under that category.

I’m very confused.

I’ll receive my offer letter by end of this week. By then I’ll have all my documents ready. I’ll call USCIS if I wasn’t contacted yet and I’ll reach out to my congressman at the same time.

I really hope you are approved.

Since its only been a few days dont over stress thinking it was a denial. I was under the impression its been 1 month+.

You can go to infopass and apply for expedite or through the congressman. Not sure if you should tell them you filed for an expedite over the phone. Some have done this and were told the congressman wont put in a request since one is pending on the phone. Others tell them the issues they are having with the phone application and the congressman helps them.

Be aware whatever method you choose you can ONLY follow up on it through the same method. So infopass will have no info on the status of the phone application. Phone will have no info on anything infopass does or the congressman does.

The phone method also restricts you from submitting another expedite request for so many days. If you use another method of submission that does not apply. However you should avoid submitting multiple requests for expediting at the same time. The requests will probably all go to different workers and that can cause issues. But many people feel desperate and submit it multiple ways. Nothing 'bad' automatically happens- they dont cancel each other out it just makes the process more confusing trying to get answers because of the overlapping notes and actions taken by different workers.

I just called USCIS and apparently very smart call center operator requested expediting my green card process🤣😂😂😂not EAD. I can't even get mad anymore. I knew something was fishy. So I submitted a new ead expedite request just now.

The 3 updates is not a denail. Bleh...The 3 updates is the process of which an officier opens your file anytime. First update, "assign to an officer in department X", Second update, "Officer looks at it, decides what to do", Third update, "officier closes ticket".

Second update, could be an approval, could be "we are working on it and hold on...", could be a "we need more proof to beleive this story of yours", could be a "denail, does not meet our current requirements for expedite".

Denials are typically direct emails, proof to send information is typically mailed out. USCIS always closes the ticket on the day the response occurs, they do not want open tickets in their system.

Disagree, its always completed on the day they respond. You just didnt check the website that often. I can show you countless examples of people who got "completed" and then the information letter like myself.

Thanks for the clarification. I panicked for nothing and called them for no reason. I know they keep a record of our phone calls. I hope it doesn’t have a negative influence on my expedite request. (Again, overreacting and panicking).

This job offer is my ticket to my dream company and I’ll even got a really nice job in top. So I need this soooo much. I have been waiting for 4 years for this opportunity.

I submitted ead expedite yesterday. But it's not assigned. As after 24 hours it is not assigned. Should I be worried?

My other expedite was submitted by the call center on my i485 and not ead. Already lost a week for an unprofessional rep from USCIS. Don't know what to expect anymore
