Anyone in SoCal get their interviews yet?  We're currently waiting for Santa Ana.  Our status is at the "Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview" point... States updated on March, but got the notification not too long ago (last week or two weeks ago).  Should I be expecting a notification soon?  My wife is leaving the country and won't be back until mid November (using her EAD).

I got my interview letter and it's scheduled for the 10th October. As for supporting documents I don't really have anything additional to send them as nothing has really changed since I sent in the pack (I sent in joint bank, joint lease etc). The only things I can provide is our new apartment lease contract, joint medical insurance through my husbands work, pictures from our wedding and with family and a receipt showing my husband starting my phone contract. Do you think this will suffice? I'm not on any utilities as I'm not working yet and I don't drive so I'm not on his car insurance. We did adopt a puppy but they could only put the paperwork in one name so it was put in mine but it has our home address on there could that be used? Also vet bills which are in just my name also for the same reason with our address on there? Any advice would be appreciated.

Working or not, I would get your name on at least a couple of your utilities.  Your not working shouldn't stop you from being on there.  I put Monica on our Electric bill, needed it to put her on the checking.

how about  adding you  as a authorized user for his credit card..., if you have costco or Sam's club, you can add your spouse for free.

Hi! i just checked my AOS case today and saw that my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview as of march 24,2018, but didn't received any update or any letter, anyone with the same experience? how long it takes before you receive the schedule for interview?

and i am concern with the following:

1. The medical that i submitted was done last year August. are they going to ask me to do another medical?

2. My passport is still on my maiden name and was planning to change it this month here in SFO.

are they not going to question why i still didn't update my passport?

Hope anyone can help me with this. Thank you so much

We're in the same position.  We got a late notification (about 20 days ago) saying that it was ready to be scheduled for an interview in March.  Still no updates though.

Passed interview today and here is my input..

1.   As long as you applied for AOS before your medical expired. You should be fine.  No need to do another medical to bring to interview. My spouse medical expired last month. Nothing was discussed about her Medical.

2.  Immigration officer never brought up anything about foreign passport with my spouse maiden name still on it.   My spouce planning to update her passport when she travel back to her country.

As long as your relationship is genuine nothing to worry about and should be easy.

Passed interview today.

We arrived 30 minutes early then waited about 15 minutes.  We hired an interpreter.  My wife, interpreter and i went to the IO office.  The interpreter  was asked about his credentials and relationship to us.   Glad that we hired a legal interpreter and not just bring a family member or friend to offer unbiased interpretation.    We were asked to raise our right hand and swore in  I notice he looked at our wedding rings when we raised our hands.

IO asked if i wanted to add supporting documents  to application.  I submitted photo book and other documents to prove our relationship.

Then he asked me to leave since 129f was already approved.

I waited outside in waiting room while my wife and interpreter was being interviewed.

IO asked about :

How did you meet

Birth date of spouse

How many rooms

Do you rent or own

Spouse job

About wedding

Spouse family

What do you do during free time together

If you don't work what do you do

The  questions were very basic and easy.   Then IO asked about 20 or more questions from the application form.

IO said it will take 2 to 3 weeks for greencard to arrive.  Informed my wife to apply for Removal of Condition before 90 days the 2 year conditional greencard expires.   My wife and interpreter came out first then He came out to the waiting room to say congratulations.  He look very scary at first but nice man.

Good luck to you all.  It isn't too bad.  Just be prepared and you will do fine.
