Hi, i need to know please what is California law about spouse cheating? Should i just keep watching the spouse cheating inside a house or  should i do "something" other than to fill for divorce of course when i'm ready!!!

Here is the story, in the last 2 years my spouse changed a lot, he stopped caring about me and about my feeling, ready to fight the whole time, at point i was always avoiding him in day time until he take his beers and smoke in the evening then i can talk because he looks better, yes this is reality , i used to live like this with him and i was always asking him whats the problem? and if he is cheating he should stop because i knew he has an affair around somewhere close to the house,  VERY CLOSE to where i live, i was just curious to know which house he goes to ? we live in a residential area and he normally  (past) goes to smoke at the park 5m walk from the house for  hours but i know after the park he goes somewhere .

In the last 4 months he stopped going to the park and changed it with a spot close to the laundry room inside the residence where he smoke there and relax Yesterday i was coming home  from a job interview i saw him smoking in his spot as usual, i went home and after a few hours i needed to check the mail box while walking to the mail box , the spouse was not outside where he was and not at the house , i stayed for a while outside  trying to figure out where is he, we didn't see each other since 4am  and it was 8pm and he disappeared, while i was waiting he came out from a house , i know he has no friends 1 friend he already left the area , when i asked him  "what he was doing inside"?he said i was playing music with a man inside and asked " come see?, while we were talking  a very angry old woman stood up and closed the door, the door was almost going to break  ( the door has 1 door and gate), he may be were playing music that moment  but that house is the house i was always asking myself about i connected everything with the past and i know he is used to go there for a long time .

What is California law about cheating ?

Thanks

Its not against the law to cheat. Its hurtful, but not illegal. The ball is in your court with what you chose to do about his cheating. Stay and put up with it, or divorce and move on.

This is not a Middle Eastern country.

there are some penalties in some states, but I doubt those ever get implemented.

As i'm considering myself as an immigrant and i was i'm asking here,

why?

I agree with everyone else, first off if this has to do with immigration, then what is your stand here in the country, are you on GC and is it the first two year GC, are you afraid to be out on your own?

Personally cut your loss and move on, there are support groups out there for the emotional part, but aside from the fact not being against the law to cheat, cut your loss, and move on.

There are many relationship message boards to ask such kinds of relationship issues, google some or the womens magazines like vogue or cosmo as they tend to have articles on this issue or sometimes sections where women can write in with issues.

I was just responding to your question above. There is no law. Because it is not against the law. As I previously stated, divorce and move on.

Leave his sorry butt and hire an attorney.

problem solved.

While infidelity is legitimate grounds for a divorce, there are no legal repercussions for it. Some states you can try for alienation of affection, but not all. I'm not sure of CA laws.
