We received our NOA2 about last week too, but it was dated 1/26. I just called and they said I had to wait up to 6 weeks for them to receive my case blah blah blah. I don't even think she checked because as soon as I told her the notice date of 1/26 she said that 🙄. I'm in the waiting game with you. I'll just call back tomorrow or later on! We should receive a case number fairly soon. But OMG I just had our first and only child in November and I can totally relate not being able to call everyday. He hasn't met him yet because I didn't want to fly with him being so young and those nasty contagious bugs! But good thing in your situation your baby would only be a few weeks old when your hubby gets here fingers crossed! Yippy! And congratulations mama! Almost done with this loooooong and anxiety giving process!

Oh, that must be so difficult for both of you :( my fiancé has been so disappointed because he feels like he is missing out on so much, and I’ve been overwhelmed by how much there is to do without him here (while working full time up until the birth)...I can’t imagine how it must’ve been to wait so long for the NOA2 in your case. I’m glad to hear you’re in the final stretch, too, and I hope your case number gets asssigned quickly!! It sounds like the email is sent soon after the case number is assigned anyway, so I suppose we will soon know, whether I  call or not :)

Hi, yes and yes! Everything filed and scheduled. Fiance will be going to his VAC appt in a few days, Medical a few days after that and Interview in March.

I am putting together a post in the Caribbean forum and will be sure to message you the link as soon as I'm done. I'm getting a lot of messages so I figured it would be helpful :)

Niiiiiiice almost done! I can't wait to hear how the medical appointment goes! Now did he ever receive a packet 4? I read somewhere where you have to wait for it, but then others have been saying they never send one.

How are the appointment dates at the embassy looking? Seems like they're not too far out.

And yes pleaseeeee message me the link when you're done!

Yeah it's been pretty tough. I completely understand your situation. He can't wait to actually touch and feel his son and I'm sure your fiancé will feel the same way.  Have you all been able to see each other since you've been pregnant? And yes you're right! We'll know soon enough!

I can imagine, we've been struggling enough knowing that he won't be here for the birth...When we first found out, he was still living in Canada so at the beginning we saw each other 1-2 times a month. When he went home to Australia in august (before his Canada work visa was up), I went with him for a few weeks but we haven't seen each other since September 3rd. It has been so hard being apart through most of this-especially with the time difference coupled with my pregnancy mood swings-but he has been so amazing. He has not missed a single appointment for our son, we got to see the ultrasounds together, and he has done his best to stay positive through this long process.

Was your fiance able to call or skype during the birth? We are planning to have a video chat going for the whole l&d (our provider is super supportive of it) and I'm kind of curious about how other couples in the same situation have handled it. I also see you're in Ohio-small world! I live in Columbus :)

When can DS-160 be submitted?  Before case #?  After case #?

Can we in US pay fees online for visa?

Thank you!

DS-160 is submitted after you get a case number.

You can pay the fee for the DS-160 online.

Congrats! Our approval was on Jan 26th as well. I called the NVC today and the representative gave me the ole wait up to 6 weeks line. There are people that have recieved their case number in 10 days as of lately, so maybe we'll here something soon!

Cool!  I hope so!  Just got notice today so already missed almost two weeks of preparing, lol.

I just got off the phone with nvc and was told our case was being entered electronicly but she was having problems with the new system so she couldn't see if we have a case number yet.

Noa1 July 10

Noa2 January 18

NVC received January 31

When she said "I don't know if you're aware but your case" I had a mini panic attack.

Wow from seeing one another every month to not, has to be hard. The mood swings are so real during AND after pregnancy! It may be a blessing in disguise that he wasn't physically here because I was awful 😩😂.

That's amazing that he was able to come to appointments and ultrasounds.  Cell phones weren't allowed in the room during my ultrasounds so he couldn't see those via FaceTime, but a family member did FaceTime the birth though and my brother sent him lots of pictures! So my fiancé was able to actually see the baby born live. We video chatted a million times during my l&d and he took off of work as well to be available. I just couldn't  stay on the phone with him the entire time because of how much pain I was in and due to my severe preeclampsia that went undetected during my pregnancy 🙄 But I'll speak it into existence that your l&d will be smooth sailing!

Really!? I live in Cincinnati!

Wow well hey, that means less waiting time for you! The tracker and text I recieved from USCIS said my case was approved on 1/30, but the date on the notice says 1/26. I wasn't complaining either! Again, less time to consciously wait!
