Is there any implications on my application because of this? I tried it once 10 years ago and never did it again.. I really need some feedbacks on what will happen to me and my application.. My psych eval is on feb 1, and our interview is scheduled on feb 9..please help me.. I really need some feedbacks..thank you.

How do you know it was weed?  Maybe it was dirt weed or K2 or oregano.  I would have to have it sampled in a lab first in order to admit I had done something like that.

Other than that now of days it no big deal, I have read now of days you do the evaluation and then get approved.

Back around 2008 and before admitting drug use was a automatic lifetime ban from the USEM.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

You told the truth. You should NEVER be disappointed in telling the truth.

Too many people want to lie, cheat, and steal for immigration. Own up to it. It is not the end of the world. If you get a ban, it will suck, but at least you still have a chance to immigrate. Heck you may not even get a ban.

Just be proud of yourself for being an honest person.

From the comments on past members who have gone through this, the question is usually asked if a person has used any drugs in their life, past or present. Also, it is sometimes asked multiple times in different ways.

Even one use 10 years ago can still result in a ban, it is not the end of the world like the OP is making it out to be. Those who have gone through the ban did so and eventually ended up with a visa.

There are a couple of cases where a one time use did not end up with a ban. So the best thing for the OP to do now is to wait and see what happens.

And continue being honest.

Usually a year ban.

It was lifetime ban in Philippines a few years ago.

Now you just have to do Psychiatric Evaluations  and you get approved.

If you had been married before, and if you had an abortion, or if you have scars on your arms then you also get Psychiatric Evaluations  in Philippines Medical.

Not sure how old of info you are reading (must be rather old), but no one I know of in the past 5 years has been banned for smoking weed.   I know of close to a dozen (a couple within the past few months)  that have passed through here that did their psych eval, completed their interviews and are now happily living in the USA.

Relax.  :)

Do relax .. tell you wife to relax as well .. nothing to get stressed or upset about.

A few of these people that have come through here have kept in contact with me, and all are doing just fine.

Truly ... relax.  Answer the questions at the psych eval honestly .. then move on with life.  ;)   The embassy will not question you on this during the interview .. at least to date they have not.

Here is one person I found on a quick search that I still hear from  ... as you will see he is in the USA and doing just fine.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
