That is another awesome story.  What would we do without technology!  I always FaceTime Rose on my way to work.  She is getting ready for bed and I am starting my day.  I love seeing her in the morning and I too, dont stare at the screen.  She will even talk to me during La Luna Sangre!!!  That is her favorite show.

Just imagine how hard this was for people who were apart and applying for a K1 visa before the internet happened. Like OMG, snail mail and hard copies of your selfies. :P

I dunno but my day just isn't complete without our FaceTime dates.

We sometimes Facetime when we are on oour way to work and even when we are both at work and not busy. I can't help myself from imagining how awesome it would be when we are together already. It just makes me smile.

No, sorry I might have not explained well or miss spelled fiancee. My future husband is a male and I am a female. So no same sex. He asked for a b2 visa for me for 3 weeks. Fingers crossed they grant it.

I'm just curious, but do same-sex couple petitions have any different requirements?  I hope the question doesn't sound ignorant or offensive -  not intended to be.

That is awesome.  It is amazing what we can do to make room for love in our lives.  Rose gets to watch me sleep through my Nest Cam.  We can even talk through it.  Her internet is too slow to allow me to do the same.  She says that sometimes in the afternoon she will grab coffee and sit down and just watch me sleep.  While that may seem weird to some people, it is very comforting to me.

Not weird at all. I love that.

Ha Ha doesn't seem weird too me at all, but then we have Skype running 24/7, if we are home or not it's still on. In fact many times she might be out shopping for her mom ( her mom is a seamstress)and texts me to tell her daughter go ask her mom about a certain kind of fabric. We both sleep with it on and if I have to go away for the weekend It's running on my phone while I'm driving, so she can see me and we can talk. Yes of course, I play it safe and don't watch the screen and have Bluetooth on while I'm driving. So my point is even though there is a distance it's still possible to feel connected with technology these days and it doesn't seem weird at all.

This is also awesome - good to know I'm not a crazy person haha

I wanted to take a moment to thank everybody here.  I started out the day pretty down and now I realize how blessed my life is.  I apologize to all of you who had to listen to the Philippines stories but I promise to listen to yours too.  Today completely brought me back.

Thank all of you once again.

Glad we could help - its times like that when we all need someone to just inject us with a little love.

Not that I'm aware of. I'm a same-sex couple and we didn't have any special steps to take.

I don't think so no. Same sex or not it is still two people in love asking for a chance to be together.

Alex and I are on Skype all day (and night while we sleep). He's 6 hours ahead of me, but works second shift (and I'm at school teaching and taking classes during that time) so we spend my evenings (his nights) together talking, etc. and then we sleep on the same schedule.

We've been going like that now for 18 months. I've visited him twice, both times for two weeks, and he's visited me twice, one week and three weeks. We can't afford any more trips. We're tapped out and just have enough for his AOS when he gets here. We've gone eight months and six months without seeing each other in person and I could hardly stand it. We do things like LetsGaze to watch youtube videos together and we watch movies and play video games (we met in a video game) together but it's not like being together in person and I'm tired of having to sleep with a computer in my room and not my partner. We purchased a new bed (king size) because my full was not going to cut it and the bed is just so huge and I'm alone and I hate it.

I got more junk mail coming today. I'm trying to be focused on my studies and earning my degree, but mostly I just want to kick the wall repeatedly and scream until I can't anymore. I have told my family and friends to stop asking about it - to not ask me about Alex at all. I can't be constantly reminded.

This literally happens to me every week, my family and friends keep asking why it's taking so long, why the visa isn't out yet, how things are moving, etc. This does get frustrating, but hopefully all this will be an old memory and we will all be reunited with our loved ones. This does make our relationships stronger. At least you got to go visit him too, I feel trapped here because I can't. And he has so much work now that he can't visit again. I really hope this b2 visa I just applied to gets approved. I really miss him in person, I feel like I'm engaged to my phone and computer.

So, maybe the scanners and number crunchers will know this better, but has there been a trend to less and less online updates and more hard-copy notices? Or does it seem to be just random patches of that happening?

Seems like an increasing trend to me, but I wouldn't want to be quoted on it.

Can someone help as I have had notification on informed delivery but says it’s a package and not a letter but my fiancé hasn’t ordered anything. Could this be it

I think it is not it. I have received notification from Informed delivery where they did not have a scan and it was some other package, has happened multiple times.

The USCIS letter did have a scan though.

Good luck, i do hope I am wrong!

HAHA! I quoted you on it! :lol::lol::jest:

They must be focusing on other form types right now. I know there are a TON of I-30's between a lot of the late June/earliest July applications.
