You missed out having a schengen visa while at the same time being denied a visa for France (a schengen country....)

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Hello, for visa visitor if a applicant have a visa Schengen in his passport it will be help hilm to get and convince a officer to give him a visa usa 

and what about a same if a pallicant have not any visa before in his passport 

help me for your advice

The existence of another visa won't really matter, but the visa applicant's travel history (i.e. actual use of that visa) may show credibility in intent to return home. By itself, it likely would not be sufficient, though.

  • Went to a visa interview and said he was going to Texas but couldn't say where in Texas, so was denied (no ties, previously denied French visa)
  • Applied when he was a student but isn't a student anymore
  • No strong ties other than a job
