I woke up not to long ago and got tons of alerts. Now says 20 people dead and over 100 more injured.

 

The videos at the concert are terrifying. God speed to everyone there.

At least they killed him.  Not soon enough, however.  Can't wait to see the history of mental issues behind this dude.

 

I have a cousin who is a chef on the strip.  He posted some wicked footage of shooting going on.

They are now saying at least 50 dead with over 200 injured.  The audio I heard was quite chilling.  Definitely sounded like a full auto with at least one re-load, but probably more.  The police are releasing the name of a companion Marilou Danley they are searching for, but are not giving any details of the gunman other than they believe he was a local resident.

 

This area is not too far from the Las Vegas sign on the South Strip.

Police have named the suspect.  Stephen Paddock.  With more than 50 dead, this makes it the deadliest mass shooting in US history.

I can see this thread run and run for a few days....absolutely appalling and once again our feckless politicians will do nothing about it to try and prevent this from happening again.

 

All they'll offer is their condolences and prayers. Watching the video it looks sounds like an automatic weapon. If it turns out to be the case it'll be interesting to hear how this person got hold of it.

Follow the lead of other first world countries where mass shootings don't occur with alarming regularity? Like I said it'll be interesting to see where this 64 year old man got his weapons from and how.

 

Listening to someone who was there they were saying some people at the concert had a weapon on them but couldn't use it because they had no idea where the shooter was.

So you are saying we have to amend the constitution?  All these other "First World" countries do seem to be plagued by other types of terrorist attacks, and make no mistake, this was a terrorist attack.  Just yesterday there was a stabbing in France, and let's not forget the truck attacks and bombings.  Seems that it is not just guns that kill people.

Well the disaster that is OCare did not include psychiatric care, to any extent, lots of sad stories over the years.

 

I am not hopefully anything will be done, need total reform and a health care system that actually works.

This is definitely terrorism, just listening to the audio is chilling, it sounds like footage from a battlefield. 

Yes other first world countries have terrorism issues but what they dont have is a long history of mass shootings in society. 

America has become so numb to these events that there will be people out there who won't be genuinely shocked by this. A few years ago we had dozens of kindergarten children mowed down inside an elementary school and nothing was done.

Semi autos can be easily converted to full. Truth be known u will never stop lone wolf type attacks - they tend to not share what their plans are.

It's got nothing to do with bait, any event like this should be made political. I'm just sick and tired of hearing from our politicians that the only answer to this problem in America is our prayers and condolences.
