Wrong!!!! A firearm is designed for protection and to kill those who want to harm my family.

But firearms are not protecting families. They are falling in the hands of terrorists like this man, and ending up killing innocent people.

The argument that fire arms make us safer is akin to suggesting nuclear proliferation will make the world safer.

Why are mass shootings rare in Europe but common place in America?

Guns, knives, vehicles, improvised explosives - you can't ban everything that could be used :(

But you shouldn't make weapons readily available either. Race to the bottom.

273 mass shootings in 275 days this year alone in this country. Almost one a day.

Do you see bombs going off or people getting intentionally killed by a vehicle in Europe everyday?

Where do you get 273 mass shooting events in 275 days?  Sources?

From what I can read, there were 13 mass shooting so far in the US in 2017, and there were 14 terrorist attacks in Europe so far in 2017.  Seems pretty much the same.

It's asinine isn't it? To say a gun is there to protect is nonsense, it's there to cause harm. Guns were invented for only one thing, to kill.

Because they like their mass crushings and bombings instead.

So apparently self-protection is not important to the MDL.  I suppose the leadership is fine since they have all their own private protection carrying around guns,

Ok, I heard the full audio of it just right now. Note: I am changing my opinion as of right now I am thinking it is a belt fed weapon possibly a M60 or a M249 SAW, I am leaning more to the M249 right now. It does sound like a belt fed weapon but not a heavier caliber like a M60 but a 5.56.

I wish the LV terrorist had knives instead. I don't think he would have managed to kill as many people as he did, from his hotel room, no matter how many knives he might have had with him.

That is the whole point isn't it!   However there are a lot of people that will never let a good crisis go to waste and take away other's rights for self protection.

Been on this Earth 36 years and not had to find out yet. What I do know is I don't need a gun in my home to protect and defend my family.

More children are killed in this country from having a gun inside the home rather than one that is used against them from outside the home.

I think he would have just used his vehicle instead.  Big trucks can do a lot of damage, just ask Europe.
