Just checked my case status online, and our interview is scheduled for March 29! Our file date was 10/19 and I got my EAD/AP 12/28. Exciting!!! Do you suggest bringing additional paperwork? In my original AOS package, I didn't provide much more proof of marriage apart from our marriage license - so maybe the fact that I'm on his health insurance, or more pictures? What did the rest of yall do?

This is serious if you have an interview and didn't attend because you didn't received anything.

I don't think you are denied as yet but you will get denied because they have time frame to sent anything so you need to call them asap and let them know you never received the letter or email.

they Maybe can give you another date.

so work on it like now.

I am telling you this because I have this problem with something else and I started the I-130 again. it was not my fault it was uscis so with my case I didn't had to pay another fees.

because its not your fault they will give you an appointment asap.

Just trying to help before it get worst.

wish you good luck.

They already had their interview at a USCIS local office. They are worried because they haven't heard anything about their interview in 02/06 not because they missed their interview. But I agree about contacting USCIS just to check what's going on.

Congrats on your upcoming interview.

For our interview we brought exact copies of what we sent out to USCIS, just brought additional photos, and more proof of bonafide marriage (lease agreement, health & life insurance). The officer didn't even care about the other documents we brought only asked for more photos.

Best of luck! :)

The letter I received at the end of the interview says my case is under review for 120 days and uscis is unable to make a decision.

is this a standard letter everybody received after the interview?

Do both?

I did do both and they opened the online SR first. The SR through phone was processed almost 2 months after the online SR was processed.

I'm on the same boat
I've applied to several jobs since getting my EAD

I've been on final stages on interviews with several copmanies and often get asked about my EAD, validity and timeline of my green card. :(

I never got an offer although hiring managers initally seems positive about employing me.

Not sure if the EAD mattered or i'm just not qualified haha

Hey hun, i'm here wondering the same thing about the EAD, been doing dozens of interview with also the same questions. I'm starting to believe that it does matter whether its an EAD you have or green card.

Thank you, I know the rule is stated such but sometimes you may never know the exact reason why they choose to hire you, fire you etc. It can be for that reason because of your immigration status but they can always claim otherwise. I was in the legal field back home and I just can't understand why it's so hard to get a job in my field...idk maybe south florida is really saturated.

I heard from somewhere on VJ that a job candidate is not required to answer anything related to the immigration status until the first day of the job when the employer is required to file I9. If this is something one can say during the job interview, one might avoid possibly being discriminated against.

This is just something anecdotal, but may be real.
