Hi everyone

Today, my oath ceremony took in place at 219 S Dearborn St. . Per officers’s suggestion I arrived 40 mins earlier than my scheduled time. There was a security gate prior entering inside.
I came with my brother and they asked him to go to second floor (cafeteria).
Upon arrival to the room, the officer asked me to give him my green card and notices. He asked if I have more cards (he meant more green cards).
There were 35 seats and I was the third person.
They collected all greencards and they talked about what to do after this.
after 20 minutes the judge came and we took the oath.
After her speech, we had to stay to take or certificates. They told us to double check. We took it and it was done. We were not allowed to capture a photo or record.
When I came back I wanted to apply for passport so I went to my nearest USPS (I had to schedule an appointment first) and then I was able to get there. I prefilled the passport application form from the site but the USPS employee said that the pages should be all together and not two sided. So I had to refill another one. After that I had to sign my certificate (they didnt mention anything and I didnt do it). I also brought a letter that I changed my last name. It was attached to my certificate when I got my certificate. They needed both original forms. So I had to make a copy of them and keep them for upgrading my wife’s visa (which I already submitted that).

The journey ended and now here I am a US citizen.

Does anybody have experience with outside normal processing time inquiry? I have been waiting for an interview since May 2020. I filled out the form a month ago but I haven't gotten anything except for a letter that basically says my case is pending. Is there anything else I can do? Can I fill out another one? This is so frustrating.

Interview was this morning at 8AM!

Officer was very down to business and kept things tight. After swearing in, asked for Green Card, Drivers License, and Passport.

Started with citizenship test, only took 6 questions - can't remember them all because it was all a bit of a flurry, but 3 were:

What ocean is on the east coast of the United States?

What does the judicial branch do?

How many Senators are there?

Officer asked for dates of any travel outside of the US since filing the application.

Not much said by officer afterwards beyond saying she believed that I fulfilled the requirements for naturalization, handed me the form saying the same - quoted that ceremonies are taking place about 6 weeks after interviews right now.

About an hour afterwards my application status was updated to "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled" ! What a massive relief!!

Hey man did you get an oath date yet?

Not yet! Looks like there’s typically at least 4 weeks between approval and the oath being scheduled.
