I assume anyone that has surgery needs time off. How much time off does an active military member get, how long is each surgery? Surely at some point one has to effect the other.

i'm sure there are surgeries with priority. but i doubt you'll find evidence of the military catering to ####### jobs over deployments, seems ridiculous.

It's lip service, just to appease some of the alt-right supporters, as sample-evidenced by some of the responses in this thread.   Pathetic move to deviate attention from the failures and irregularities involving his administration. #sad.

even fox is putting it that way..stuck watching while i get an oil change.

In addition, I am sure the matter of priority and deployments are being discussed and decided at a much higher level than the talents available in this forum. LOL.

i feel you, hypo on both mom and dad's side. thus far ive passed all my tests, but its probably in my not too distant future.

I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. My mother and my sisters all suffered for years with it and the men used to laugh because none were ever diagnosed with it. For me the weight went on rapidly and dangerously. I had only just given up cigarettes and assumed that was the reason for extra weight gain, the doctors blamed increased appetite from quitting also. 12 weeks and 60 pounds later I could barely walk, my heart felt like it was going to explode. It took one year to get mine regulated but the weight has stayed.

The men don't laugh anymore, four of us have since been diagnosed.  :crying:

Canadians don't seem to entertain the same fixation for other people's genitalia as some do here in the US, and definitely here in this forum. LOL.

I bet there are plenty of Canadians that would disagree with you regarding their fixation on people's genitalia :jest:

God I love Canada.

''As U.S. President Donald Trump pushes a new policy to banish transgender Americans from the military, Canada is taking steps to promote diversity in the ranks and recruit more gay, lesbian and trans troops.Jordan Owens, spokesperson for Defense Minister Harjit Sajjan, said the government is fully committed to building a defense team that "reflects Canadian ideals of diversity, respect and inclusion."

"Our diversity strategy and action plan will promote an institution-wide culture that embraces diversity and inclusion, and we will continue to focus on the recruitment and retention of under-represented groups within the Canadian Forces' ranks," she said in a statement to CBC News.

So making sure Canada acts the joke that the rest of the world sees its military as.

It's funny how other countries don't allow for any discrimination, allows everyone to serve no matter gender/sexuality or anything else and they are doing great. And the US can barely let women serve or you get your panties in a bunch.

When I was in the military our platoon leader was an openly gay woman. No one had an issue with that. You know why? Because when you put on that uniform you're not a man or woman, gay or straight, you're a soldier first and foremost.
