Thank you all for posting this!! CSC filer here and I’m back in Canada visiting right now, just left the USA yesterday and my original extension letter expires in 2 weeks (I’m coming back next week). I’m the Sacramento field office like a couple others so getting a stamp has been a huge hassle and I haven’t gotten it yet. Go figure, got the Informed Delivery image today showing something from Laguna Niguel (CSC filer) and my hubby won’t be home for a couple of days so I was dying to know what was in the envelope. One day sooner and I would have been able to travel with that second letter...

Just want to confirm, all I can see in the envelope window is page 1 of 2 and a date of August 11th...is the new extension letter two pages?

It’s just the extension letter.

So my questions is, this extension letter extends the green card an other 18 months or 6 more months from the first one? I’m confused

It extends 18 months from the expiration date on your green card. Because the first letter was a 12 month extension, some people have written that it really is only 6 months more... which is true.

Congratulations - with I-551 stamp!1 Well, and with  an Extension Letter :)

Since your green card got kept by USCIS,  Extension Letters are useless now - they work only along with a green card.

And guess what? I just checked my mail and what is in there? !!  the 18month extension letter dated 8/11/2018. You'd think that the  Government's system would be update so when I went in this morning, the IO ( or even REno's IO)  would say your letter is in the mail.

Like gc@gc said, I now have a souvenir.

Hello all, been going through the different I-751 monthly threads for 2017 and have seen a lot of peeps receiving 18-month extension letters lately. It just confuses/frustrates me how we all have a receipt number assigned but they are not processing it in the order they are received. I am a  CSC June 7 2017 filer and have received nothing the last update was the glitch back in Feb about moving to a local office. Anyways I have a close friend who is in the same boat she is a CSC sept 2016 filer and she is STILL waiting at 23 months she has called many times for an update and has been told that processing times are up to 39 months now. She has filed for N-400 and has NEVER received an 18-month extension letter and already had an info pass stamp done twice because it's taking so damn long.

Well we can see we are receiving something in Informed Delivery from CSC it has date of 06/11/2018 and we can see 1of 2, so we are assuming this is the extension, which is good because her GC expires next month and no we don't have to worry about getting that almost impossible to get Info-Pass appointment
