Any news from my Canadian peeps?

Still waiting to hear the verdict on i751 (10yr card). How about you?

Was it you who went home for Thanksgiving? Did you fly with the i551 stamp? I did and at Pearson on my return, I had to step into another room where they had to confirm my status. Officer said that  if I had the expired GC with me, it would have prevented that extra stop.  Did not have to wait too  long though.

@mrs thb All I have been getting  are those notifications of no new update.  Calling USCIS and asking for update or submitting a request , I do not think it will result in anything new. I have an i551 stamp that is good until Aug 2019 for travel back into the US. My Canadian password grants me tons of entry into other places.

Nice to see VSC filers getting theirs as well as some CSC Filers. I am 17293 so hopefully soon.

Appreciate the update. I'll be making a trip back to my neck of the woods soon and I am alas crossing back into Canada and the US at Pearson. I have my I-551 stamp in my passport and I was hoping I wouldn't be pulled aside for a secondary screening, but ah well, figured it would happen.

About how long of a wait did they give you?

Also wondering, (forgive me as I am foggy on what part of Pearson this is in) but I recall when approaching the US customs area for re-entry there is a line for those travelling strictly on a Canadian passport without any US credentials and those of us who have green cards or some sort of status. I assume you made it to the desk for those with status and that is where the customs guard pulled you aside for secondary screening? Just wondering a bit more about the process if you don't mind sharing?

In regard to my I-751, I have had no movement on my case since the erroneous February 26th, "Transferred to your local office" alert on my USCIS portal. My info is below:

Thanks for keeping in touch.  I'm still waiting.

Yah, t'was me.  Went home and loved the 84F weather but hated....just hated, the humidity.  Great to be with my Canadian family once again.

Flew thru Buffalo and no problem at Fort Erie.  Went back and forth twice to get the DH, he came a few days after me.  No problems either time. A breeze.  Did not get asked for additional documents; they were 100% satisfied with the stamp.

Fingers crossed I have my new card by Christmas....just a hassle telling them there's a stamp in the passport.

And, yah, right.....if you had your old GC......you'd think this system would be sound by now.  Kind of scary that it's not.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
