Did any one in this forum who got a checklist have any luck getting the supervisor to approve their documents over the phone? If so, what did you say to get a supervisor to review the documents over the phone?

hey, yeah, there are just a few, maybe less than 5.. If you ever receive a checklist, you send in the corrected/missing document in ASAP.. Then call into the NVC about a week later, ask for a supervisor.. keep calling until they get one on your case.. Something about getting a supervisor aware of your case may speed up the processing of your checklist.. it's not a guarantee but def worth a shot.. .

Same here! At least I'm heading to El Salvador today to visit my husband! It'll make the time between week 8 and 9 go by faster! It's almost our turn :)

Good for you!! I haven't seen my husband in 7 months. Had plans to be in Ethiopia with him this summer but financially it just didn't make sense. I hope we are all reunited with our spouses soon. This is so hard...

Quick reminder folks.. Please do not call the NVC before 9 weeks. :) As RamStu has said, check your CEAC status.. Now if you don't have a CR1/IR1 visa, you have no choice but to call the NVC to ask for an update/or wait for your CC letter.  Have a feeling we'll see a wave of CC's next week!! :) Wishing you all much luck!!

ps.. even if you call after 9 weeks, NVC can't do anything until 11 weeks has passed.. And if you reach 11 weeks without a CC, it's not a good sign.. Just further delay.. At that point, would suggest contacting your congressman right away.... And submitting an expedited request..

Sending the love back your way!!! (L) Have a great weekend buddy

Thanks @JBMG :)

Anyone have an idea on how soon I can schedule the biometric appointment? All I could find on the site is "AT THE LATEST" it should be 2 days before the final interview. I am trying to find out the earliest we can get the biometrics done. Any idea?

We requested an expedite, and NVC forwarded the request to the local US Embassy. The US embassy agreed (we emailed the US embassy separately as well), and now NVC is forwarding our documents to the local US Embassy which will be handling our case going forward. I'm not sure what that means, as we don't have a case complete yet (we submitted a checklist document end of July). I hope this makes things move faster because we lost a lot of time due to the checklist.

@JBMG Not sure how this fits into the spreadsheet!
