We met on a message board. It happened to be a "sex advice" board where no one really ever talked about sex. It was all joking and stupidity...

Neither of us were "looking" for anyone-we just became good friends after enjoying each other's wise a** comments to the idiots that wrote in. Soon, we became friends, and it took us 2 more years to actually meet after sharing our days and lives on a daily basis. We "knew" each other's families, and pets through conversing.

Then, we were moderators on an art board-had a HUGE disagreement and when we made up, we decided that it would be cool to hang out and finally know just who each other was in person.

Again, we didn't intend on meeting for any other purpose than to hang out as friends-I was long overdue for a holiday, (8 years) and just decided to hang with a friend for some laughs. I was in the process of just finding out that I was being duped by my business partners, and needed some time off to figure out my next move and how to handle things gracefully with my departure from the business I shared with the SOB's...

When we met, it wasn't exactly love at first sight-but our bond grew by the hour and within a week, we knew we could not be without each other. I was in NY for 1 day, and phoned him to ask him to come to NY and stay with me forever. He accepted my invitation without hesitation.

We became engaged about 8 months later-got married 10 months later, and another 8 months for his CR1.

In the interim, I left the old business and began contracting my work out to someone I had worked with in the past, and trusted. It took 3 years to build up my business again, and here we are...very happy.

He's still my best buddy and he still is a wise a**.

Strange circumstances, but I figure that the stars were all in alignment the day he signed on to that stupid board.

Met her on rBrides.com. Traveled to meet in person 4 months later. Proposed to her day 3 of meeting.

Different than other relationships. I had to learn to COMMUNICATE first without ever having the privledge of intimate contact. Meeting in person was the icing on the cake so to speak. This has made for a much enhanced relationship with excellent communication between us.

Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensedregistered pharmacist". (because somebody gives a damn)

Stumbled upon each other on yahoo on June 2000 (I was a first time user and he was at the Phils. chatroom). He used to pissed me off and found him "cocky american". We exchanged emails, forwarded silly, funny, mushy or corny emails.

Lost touch for 6 mos and in March 03 it was something special between us. First fone call and then everyday yahoo chat, webcam and more expensive fone calls and more yahoo chat.

Aug 04 he went to Sturgis and met a Vietnamese at a Target store and he said she looks like me. He dumped me just like that. I moved on and concentrate on work but we still email each other this time just forwarded emails. Apr 05 he started talking to me again and he dumped the Vietnamese I accepted him back and Oct 05 he bought his ticket to see me on Jan 06.

At the hotel, 18 hrs after he came I asked him for my ring and she said "baby u ruined the moment" i'l propose to u tomorrow but I still asked for my ring and he said the customary will u marry lol... There's no looking back, never been so happy!

We met through a mutual friend(actually, my Nepali ex-fiance, who I have remained on (generally)friendly terms with). We emailed a few times, at first just on a friendly basis, I was skeptical because he was Brahmin like my ex - we broke up because his family would not even eat in the same room as me and his mom threatened suicide if he married me... So at the beginning I *really* had doubts, then I went back to Nepal and actually met him in person...WOW.... From the beginning I felt so comfortable with him like I had known him my whole life. On our first date his father was there and admitted it was the first time he had ever eaten at a restaurant... :) We went out together for a few weeks, sometimes alone, sometimes with my ex or his sisters... 2 weeks after we met we went to Pokhara and he kissed me for the first time and a week later asked if I wanted to marry him - fast but typical in Nepali culture - I guess you could say it was arranged though I am not Nepali except in heart... :)

I was in the "other" category as well! :P I met my (soon-to-be fiance) in graduate school. (I'm an American student and he's an International student from Turkey here on an F-1 visa). We met in class, became friends, and winded up in each others' arms six months later. Now we've been together for over a year, are madly in love and about to start our final year of grad school! Planning an engagement after our graduation this coming June. :)(L)

I can't vote as there is no option in the second question for those who didn't meet on the internet

Exactly that happened to me, but i understood the "never have met" as the option for the ones who did not met over the internet. And when I check the results, I found out that numbers does not make sense. Sorry, but you can decrese one vote out of the total.
