  1. Hope you filed for passport already! I filed for my passport Oct 27 and will be getting it this weekend.
  2. Congratulations! You'd have to track based on your town/state as they differ. In NJ, we have same day oath taking. My interview and oath taking were done in the same afternoon.
  3. I'm all done with the process! I was originally an April 2017 filer, but had an RFE so re-submitted in May 2017 since the whole return and re-shipping the packet took about 3 weeks. I was able to apply for N-400 last March 2018 and now naturalized this October. My passport comes in tomorrow and can move on to updating my status in SS. Overall, the stressful part of the experience was never the waiting because family and work kept me busy. USCIS messed up my name during AOS processing and it took me a couple of re-submissions and phone calls ( all denied) and a visit to the Newark Field office to get it fixed. Other than that, it was the cost of everything... Especially the last two ones, between my I-751 and N-400 which I filed one after the other, they probably pocketed a good amount. I hope it's being put to good use for service. Anyway, best of wishes to everyone else still waiting!
  4. By the way I meant to say TABLETS for the reading and writing portion of the interview. Thanks Lu & Soso! All the best to you too!
  5. I had my N-400 interview and oath taking in Newark last October 25th. The actual interview is quick, but there is a lot of waiting in between. And by the way, they are now using tables to administer the reading and writing part of the interview.

  7. Great info! Thanks a lot! BTW, I also read we need to change status in SSA
  8. So after the oath taking, you went online and filled out the forms and went to USPS with that? What did you have to bring to USPS to apply for the passport? How long before you received your passports?
  9. Can someone walk me through the process of getting a passport after the oath taking? I read somewhere they give you a form at the oath taking, is this true? Is this something I can complete (applying for) in the same day?
  10. That sucks, but having seen it now vs waiting for the actual letter gives you a few days earlier to act on it and have the interview field office updated to NJ.
  11. You can check your online account in a day or two. The appointment schedule will also be uploaded there. I didn't receive the letter yet but found out my interview date this way.
  12. Sorry, I meant to say NJ thread - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/656315-n-400-newarkmt-laurel-new-jersey/
