Am I the only one that feels slightly lost now that we have our NOA2?

I know that I need to keep calling NVC for our case numbers, I know that I need to fill out the DS-160 and I know that I need to book our medicals and interviews. I have all of our documents together, I have the last few jabs booked in. Given notice on my house and job.

Everything else seems really unknown! What else am I missing please VJ gurus?

do not forget about police certificate/s )

HI everyone.  I apologize if this has already been discussed but can the beneficiary go to school during the time that they can't work?  My fiance is an electrician back home but will need to go to trade school to get certified in the US.  Wondering if he can do that rather than twiddle his thumbs before he gets a green card.

I was intrested to know the same thing cuz im university student here i got my first two years degree and i realy wanna finsh my study there too .  But as I saw we can't do that without green card . Best of luck to ur fiance

And you as well!  I guess he's going to get really good at cooking, cleaning and doing laundry!  Just kidding...  Actually, he wants to do do some volunteer work and  do some work on my condo.

Our case is now "Ready" status starting this morning (Thursday).  Happy 😊 & Excited.

What's interesting is that the DHL tracking (that you use to track the package once it is in transit) has a planned delivery for "By End of day Friday" . In other words, DHL is on its way to deliver the package to the embassy but the NVC tracker shows "Ready" before the physical delivery of the packages (about a day ahead).  (Just adding more info to the knowledge base for curious people  who loves details 😀😀)

Question: Can my fiancé now submit  the DS-160 and schedule the interview or may be she need to wait a little bit for the letter (packets) from the embassy? I did not get any communication from NVC as of today.

Congratulations. I see your case was at the NVC for 3 weeks. We are almost hitting 3 weeks at NVC. Just trying to be patient.

Yes, she can go ahead and do the DS-160 and schedule interview if her embassy allows.  I don't know if her embassy allows you to schedule the interview or they have to do it.  Many times for the packets, you can get them online or email the embassy and they will send you the packet.  Has she done the medical and PCC?
