Ah ok. It'll be interesting to see what you get. They just gave us an email with some links, instructions, required docs, and the I-129F as PDF, and requested you email them back to get interview appt. Jakarta doesn't need anything prior to the interview.

I have run into the same issue for Rashmi with Nepal. I only show like 1-2 k1 per year on Visa Journey tracker so no idea what we are getting into.

It sucks right? Anything I find is from years ago, and things have changed drastically in the visa world since then. My Embassy is known to have some tough CO's too so it wouldve been good to have some info before hand, but I guess im on my P's & Q's from here on out lol

hi to all!

Can someone please tell me that can we fill Form DS-160 and Form I-134 before getting any notice from USCIS to start??

Also, can i get police clarification report before the case is submitted in NVC??

My NOA2 was approved on September 5th and still havent got anything....i mean mail or email!

I am asking this because as when we fill some form we get date mentioned on it... so i was thinking will be right to collect and fill documents before any orders from USCIS??

My only consolation is that she still has an active F1 from the University, she graduated in December. She had an OPT card but had to go home before she got work. So she can show she followed the rules at the embassy. Between that and her grandfather's former position with the government of Nepal it should hopefully be smooth for her.

Have you called NVC

Police certificate holds out for some months so you can go ahead with that. You can also prepare the Affidavit and supporting documents.

The DS160 you can start filling it out, if you're not ready to print then you can save it and print it at a later date

What Embassy are you dealing with? They all dont operate the same way

Our case is now "Ready" status starting this morning (Thursday).  Happy 😊 & Excited.

What's interesting is that the DHL tracking (that you use to track the package once it is in transit) has a planned delivery for "By End of day Friday" . In other words, DHL is on its way to deliver the package to the embassy but the NVC tracker shows "Ready" before the physical delivery of the packages (about a day ahead).  (Just adding more info to the knowledge base for curious people  who loves details 😀😀)

Question: Can my fiancé now submit  the DS-160 and schedule the interview or may be she need to wait a little bit for the letter (packets) from the embassy? I did not get any communication from NVC as of today.

Ok this might seem wierd, but I am reading through the guide on the US Embassy site for Nepal and it is saying to fill out the DS-260 instead of the DS-160. Not sure if the guide is just out of date or what.

Yes u can call NVC within 10 days from receiving your Noa2. You need to have the Petitioners name and d.o.b along with yours and the WAC #. See if they have your case and go from there

@CopperChem

I believe its the DS-160. Never heard of k1 filling out the 260. Contact the Embassy and confirm it first.

Wow. That's an impressively low amount of applicants. That's got me interested and now I'll have to do some research this weekend to see if I can find the breakdown by country.

I have a quick question ,hopefully someone will help me with this. So when you receive RFE ,they sent you an envelope to send back RFE documents .Now my question is if you send that documents in that envelope then how you can track that envelope or can we send that envelope with supporting docs inside USPS priority mail envelope and send it to them.
