do you know what is your RFE about ?

Unfortunately no and no updates yet from tracker, but I think I know what it is. I have a couple of misdemeanors, so I ordered the certified dispositions but they were in fact not certified, also seems I was suppose to have written an explanation which I was told nothing about from the company I used ... so we will see, but I now have the documents certified and a written statement, so I am prepared if this is what it is, but never know until the letter comes. If this is the issue, I think I will be livid  because seems to me they should have caught that ... just saying.

Not an expert in this matter, but I asked same questions.  I was told a screenshot of your NVC number printed on paper will get you into SLEC for medical.  Further, I was told that your case has to say 'READY' before you can submit the DS-160 and get an interview date.

dunno, but sounded logical to me

That sounds logical to me. That is why I'm not sure. There are many parts of this that defy logic. I was hoping Hank or Greenbaum could chime in. There is a lot of information out there and obviously it is not all reliable. I've heard the number allows the filing of the DS-160 and scheduling of the interview. I guess if there is an number, they can assume the case is on its way. When the delay for the first open interview spot will be approaching 2 months away it is also logical to allow the scheduling.

Hi. I want to chase our case by calling and asking a T2 agent (my fiance called and spoke to a T1) but my fiance is scared beause they said they record when and what you call for. We don't want to p*ss them off, is it okay to call again within the same week? Our NOA1 date was April 11th so I feel like we should have had something no case update, no post etc)

Thank you

I say go ahead and call. They shouldn't get upset for you checking on a case that they have had for 4 months. I think they already know you are interested. I would start calling right away. Be polite but try to see where it is at. It has been 4 months.

Well, the number would make you think it would be on its' way - but it is the gov't LOL   and maybe it is how they look at it technically it hasn't been approved by NVC yet???  Who knows :D but anyways, 2 separate recent interview beneficiaries told me it has to say 'ready' before getting interview date so I've been focusing on other things in the process to keep busy with.

Yes. Very true. I guess my impatience is getting the best of me. The medical can probably be scheduled since it is good for 6 months. The interview scheduling should wait.

I havent heard ears of any cases approved my USCIS that were denied by the NVC, have you?   Since USCIS takes 6 months (even if the review only takes minutes) the NVC sees every case USCIS sees and their turnaround time is under 4 weeks. Oh well. Just wishing it all goes faster for all of us!!!

Since the RFE is required, so  there is something that must be added or corrected, therefore, it depends on you means and you will influence ... I wish you to easily overcome this, and get approval soon
