Hi fellow April filers & welcome to all the new people who have joined us here in this thread. I just got back from Texas last Wednesday from visiting my fiancé 😃. We had an amazing time together as we always do!  We went and saw a couple of movies while I was there, which is always fun. My fiancé also taught me how to play pool, he's a good teacher because I actually did really great..,I also think I'm a quick learner so it helps annnnddd I actually beat him at one game. It was down to the 8 ball. I was pretty impressed with myself and we had a wonderful time.  We then went to the River Rock Festival to see some amazing rock bands. Godsmack, Def Leopard, The Offspring, Three Days Grace just to name a few were all playing. It was really hot but totally worth it!! We also enjoyed a lazy Sunday just chilling, sharing some laughs, eating ice cream and watching movies. We are both super cheesy, we call ourselves cheeseburgers 🍔 lol...it's definitely love ❤️ 😍. We also spent Memorial Day floating the lazy river...that was too much fun. But alas, the dreaded day I go home, saying goodbye at the airport seems to get harder each time & my eyes always get wet 😢but I am very grateful for the time that we spent together. Now that I am home again though I tend to get lonely & always miss him dearly. I live on my own and most of my family lives in BC, so it makes it hard. I know that there are people out there that have gone a lot longer not seeing their loved ones...I hope you are all reunited with them soon!

All I know is I cannot wait to never have to say goodbye at another airport again. I also cannot wait to start my life with the most amazing man I know & love! 😊❤️

Congratulations on getting to see him for a couple of weeks.  What you describe sounds wonderful to me.  Being with the person that you love and having a wonderful time together doing anything is great.  I couldn't agree more about leaving them at the airport, that is so hard to do.  I have had to leave her at the airport twice now and I am hoping the next time that I go see her, that I can stay until she can come back to the US with me.  Not sure if that can happen or not, but I am very hopeful.   I agree about wanting to start our lives together and moving forward knowing that we are doing it together.  Good luck to us all.

Good luck to each and every one of us!

Wait... What? My NOA2 is 4/11 ( received date 4/6) and my estimated is between 7/19-7/24. My reaction just now was 😶😨😱😡

Then I took a look to your timeline and I think I figured it out. You say your service center is Texas, that works faster than California. But I wonder, and I'm fairly sure this is the case because of what you put there, if you just mistook the lockbox for the service center and the usual them sending your case to California with a transfer?

I'm sorry to be a party pooper welcoming you here like this, but I know putting your hopes in the wrong date can cause additional stress :( Be very welcome here anyway and don't hate me :):P

I'm going back to sleep for a bit... It's just 7am and don't have much to do today :P Things sure move a lot here while I'm sleeping, lol.

Welcome back to @M&K2010. Great you could visit your fiance and have a great time. Airports are sad places right now, but that will be over soon :)

And you two are not cheesy but cute. We are not particularly cheesy... He's more than me anyway. Imagine the other day he told me no matter how much he enjoys playing his video games, he'll always prefer to play Mario Kart with me :D 😂

The lockbox in Texas that you send your petition to is much different than the Texas service center.   All petitions go to the lockbox and then are sent to the California Service Center, not transferred to CSC from the Texas Service Center.

I know that it sounds like a technicality but it will change the date on your estimated approval date if it's not inputted correctly.

Unless you received a letter that stated the word "transferred" then they have not transferred your case to California, they have simply sent it to where it should be going (the California Service Center).  Since March of 2015 the Texas service center is not adjudicating I-129f petitions.

You can go into your timeline or your profile and mark that you sent it to the Texas lockbox and it was sent to the California service center instead of transferred, that will give you a more accurate time frame.

Our Journey:
04/19/2014- Met online
10/2014- Visited Nigeria and he proposed!!!!
02/28/2015- Sent I-129F petition
03/05/2015- NOA1
09/2015- Visited Nigeria again!!!
10/28/2015- NOA2 (237 day wait at TSC)
11/13/2015- Sent to NVC
11/27/2015- Arrived at Embassy
06/2016- Third visit to Nigeria!
06/15/2016- Interview, given option to file I-601 waiver.
08/16/2016- Waiver submitted (no lawyer).
11/21/2016- Waiver approved with expedite.
01/2017- Embassy requested interview.
04/2017- Fourth visit to Nigeria.  K1 officially denied.
04/25/2017- NOA1 for 2nd K1.
07/27/2017- Case transferred to TSC.
11/17/2017- Case transferred back to CSC.
01/16/2018- NOA2!! (266 day wait)

Gotcha. Thanks. Made the correction now my date range is 7/23-7/28. Not too bad I suppose.

A hijack post and several replies have been split from this thread and given the topic title "How to Delay Visa until Custody Case Is Settled?  [split topic]."

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

Wait...

Thank you, it was really great to see him and spend some quality time together. Hopefully the next time we see one another it will be when he flies up to Canada to drive the truck with all my belongings and small car in tow and of course me in the passenger seat...of the truck that is. 😂  Fingers crossed 🤞 & knock on wood that this will happen soon 😇🙏🏻

Awwww that's really sweet of him to say to you. Nice to know there are other cheeseburgers out there lol 😂

So I read in one of your other posts that you already got your police certificate. I was thinking of getting mine done as well. I live & work right across from where they do them. I was wondering though, how long are they valid for & will we need them for AOS

I am trying to get everything organized and ready for when that glorious day of knowing we are approved and NOA2 is issued. 😃
