Hey Whiners! I'm happy to announce that our visa is APPROVED!

But before that, there were a few bumps in the road especially during my medical appt - (1) I had a personal evaluation with a psychiatrist w/c was scheduled 2wks after my medical due to self inflicted injury (2) The psychiatrist referred me to a psychologist in w/c I had to take a series of tests that took me 7hrs to finish (includes 850 items of written exam, 4 pictures that I have to describe and make a dramatic story, 1-on-1 interview with the psychologist and showed me a rorschach images that I have to describe to her).

Good thing everything went well and got my visa approval at the interview.

I also want to congratulate my fellow Whiners for the NOA2, visa approvals, POE. Let's all see each other again in the AOS

Congratulations on your visa approval :D

For those of you who took your medical were there any restrictions on eating?

No need for fasting, since they are mostly looking for STD's, and maybe antibodies if you are missing any vaccine records :)

Good luck wit that and don't be nervous, it will go well.

I just arrived in the Dominican Republic this morning so that I can be with my fiancé for the flight and PoE this afternoon.  It feels very strange flying to another country with no bags and only staying a few hours! I'm so excited ... Many months of waiting and it's finally here!

Congrats to you both!!!
I know what you mean.. I am I am not going to another country, but when I go to LA to meet my F there, I will only be taking a small personal carry on with a few things of mine, but the bag and most of the contents will be for my son. So, because I am not taking anything I am flying with Spirit Airlines (I know, I know lol) but it is a direct flight and was a crazy cheap price of $40 to fly down there.
Does your F live in an area that was affected much by the hurricanes?
