Hey. I posted my experience from about 2 months ago.. it’s near the top of page 6. You definitely should have copies of all recent financial documents and proof showing you’re in a real relationship. It may seem daunting but it’s not too bad.

We took copies of join bank statements, credit card statements, and such.  I’m happy to share my cover letter for what we brought so you can get an idea.

Thank you for all your advices!

Random question but does someone here know a good doctor in NYC to renew my medical exam? How much did they charge you for it?

We didn’t need to do a renewal but my wife went to Dr. George Liakeas. We paid roughly $250.

I'm an NYC 2018 filer - my PD is March 7th 2018. I just received an email saying they're ready to schedule an interview and will be sending me a time.

Isn't this... unusual?

Nope. That means you’re ready for your multi-month wait until they actually schedule that interview that you’re ready for.

New VJ pair checking in here. She will arrive next month.  USCIS gave us a really hard time before we got to NVC so I'm apprehensive about AOS.  At least NY City is  'foreigner friendly'.

Same here, May 3 filer (May 9 NOA1 date for AOS specifically, May 3 for EAD/AP - which have been received).

I recently found out about this other website to check status:

https://my.uscis.gov/account/applicant

on this website, I made a new account and it told me that my wife’s case is at interview waiting to be scheduled since June 15 last year.   Before then, I had been checking at:

https://egov.uscis.gov

and it still says Fingerprint Fee Received since May 9.  We did biometrics on June 1 last year.  Still waiting on an update from them.  Probably time for us to re-new EAD/AP now.

This is what it says at the my.uscis.gov website:

June 15, 2017

We are scheduling your interview

You do not need to do anything at this time

We have a large volume of interviews to schedule so you may not hear from us immediately. We will notify you when we have scheduled your interview and mail you an appointment notice with details.

Citizenship process complete!  First a J1 work/travel Visa visitor from Philippines to Texas where we met each other, then back to Philippines.  Ultimately, immigrated here via a K1 Marriage-based petition in 2016, AOS started in 2017, completed in 2018, ROC started/completed in 2020, N-400/Citzenship granted in 2022 - timeline link below:
