I've seen more people asking the same thing, and other people told them to ignore the six steps part. Once more, that's some kind of standard template NVC uses, probably having to do with the fact K1 is that mix of a non immigrant visa with immigrant intent.

As long as you follow the instructions provided but your Embassy, you should be fine :)

Exactly :)

thanks a lot

Here are the current stats I ran today. Keep in mind that this data is scraped from the online checker which is broken. These numbers will be off.

Everyone from USCIS will get a WAC number then NVC will assign you a number specific to your embassy for example Manila Philppines starts MNL.

I believe the phone and my status scan both just pull from the online checker where you see received. It's reporting received.

You can start the DS-160 now. You don't need a number for that part.

You have to use the USCIS (WAC) number for the DS-160. It's stated this way in the instructions to fill the form: https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/forms/ds-160--online-nonimmigrant-visa-application/frequently-asked-questions.html

If you still have doubts, well... It doesn't even matter. If you make a search about the topic here, some people used the NVC number too by mistake and said it went easily through anyway.

It has been 17 days since NVC left my case, and it still says "in transit" . I cannot contact to Embassy through the phone, they do not answer the questions. When I sent an email after one week, I got an automated response, and also NVC cannot say anything about it. What else can I do?

There is someone who tracks March filers in the March filers thread. I suggest you check there although with the Tracker being BROKEN she only scans once a week because its really pointless. *shrugs*
