Thank You for update :)   I guess this makes it all that more important to update timelines on VJ as quickly as possible since it seems that VJ is the only reliable electronic source of information. It has been very helpful to see the scans that some are doing but now we will all have to be equally diligent on our parts to keep the information up to date by adjusting our personal timelines.

I am a Feb 2 filer and no update or NOA2 as of now. After reading this forum I found the K1 process doesn't take too long. I was expecting at least a year wait! I think that's why I am not too stressed out yet that I haven't heard anything.

Exactly... I am friends with a couple and their granddaughter did the K1 visa while she lived over seas and it took approx. a year from start till finish... all these people are freaking out and I'm waiting patiently. It's not a big deal. This stuff takes time. I was prepared for 9 months to a year for it all to be done and visa issued.

Mongfer, the main impact of the processing delay was two main events.

First, the application price increase in December had both November and December filers trying to beat the increase. There were over 4000 applications both November and December. That set back the applications from that point on.

The latest delay though was last week and it appears to be repeating itself this week. We are seeing a huge decrease in productivity in processing applications to a bare trickle from was once over 100 touches a day. Now all we are seeing is RFE's and RFE responses. We do know that there are a few examples here on VJ of people getting their applications approved but the website is not showing that. There is so much speculation to why that is happening, but it is our misfortune that it is.

The fact that February applications are getting touched at all baffles many of us December and January filers. There is still over 100 December filers that have not had their applications touched yet and hundreds (I believe that it may be close to 1000) of January filers that are dying for movement.

I will close by saying this... unless the USCIS can make changes to their process and get more staff to handle the flow, I only see this getting worse. The last week and a half has pushed many to contact their Congressional Representatives, but I believe that that fix will only last so long. The USCIS falls back always when you call to the fact that on their terms that it can take from 3 to 6 months. Very few of us have reached that timeline. So we wait.

Sorry for the essay.

Thank you for your feedback :) and explanation

We both have the same date.. 3rd feb.. you should receive something soon via snail mail but it seems that the online case status updates aren't working so constantly checking is a waste. Good luck and keep us posted if you receive anything today in the mail.

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad to found a person who have the same date.
I really hope that we will get something soon in the mail, I got frustrated checking the case online. Seem like nothing been working on :(

Good luck and keep me posted too :) Hopefully we will get NOA2 soon because it's about time.

Same timeline here :) we are still waiting just like you, but Hey, don't worry, it is coming soon. It have to! Imagine that there is not so much time left and we will be with our loved ones, it's the last time, last seperation, and after big relief and happiness :) I know it is hard, it is for me, we had plans and now our plans got to change a little bit because we were expecting earlier approval but it is not the end of the world. We will overcome it just as a lot of other obsticles on our way :) positive thinking!!!

Btw I was lurking throw last Feb scans and Feb 3rd received date got a lot of RFEs, meaning, they are working on our date :) so chin up and check your mailbox, maybe approval is already there, they might didnt update it in the system as it happened to some folks from January group :)

Hi :)

Thanks for your feedback and encouraging me about this situation :) I'm glad that you are the other one who has the same timeline as me.
Yes, I was checking the cases that have similar number as me and a lot got RFEs.

Yes, It is hard to being apart from the one you love for this long :(

Hopefully we all get NOA2 soon and have a huge relief and happiness. I pray for it :)
