It is official. Green Card holders are being denied entry from countries listed so far:

 

"Green card and visa holders were being blocked from boarding US-bound flights within hours of Donald Trump issuing an executive order limiting immigration from several Muslim countries, according to reports"

Is this applicable to India too? My husband is a GC Holder is in India for a month to visit me and is going to return on 10th February. My F2A petition is already in jeopardy but now I'm worried that he won't be able to return too! :crying:

No. It is only for people from 7 listed countries at the moment. India is not one of them (and highly doubt that it will ever be given the India's size). But this list will be revised / expanded in 30 days.

I am wondering if this would affect a person that is not a citizen of these countries, but did go to one of these countries at some point and time. A friend of mine went to Libya under contract from the British government. Her job was to help rebuild infrastructure by training new police cadets. Because of the rules last year for Libya and ESTA she was no longer able to use the VWP to visit relatives in the states, and was planning on trying for a B2 if possible. I had advised her there was no guarantee of her obtaining a B2 but that she should try anyway. I'm wondering if the mere mention of her at some point being in Libya would be grounds to deny or if obtained, turn her back at the border.

Honestly at this point nothings impossible with this whole thing.

Syria is banned longer I'm afraid...until Trump sees "significant changes"....whatever that means :/
