I called my lawyer all day to remind her to email me a copy of my approval and her words to me she promise she will email it before she leave. I call and call she said she haven’t forgetting to email it. Today still waiting for her email and now that today is Friday of cause many people will not show up to work just because Monday is a holiday.

Again May 9, 2017 my husband called my lawyer for updates and she said we got approved.

We don’t know when and when I did call few days she said she said she don’t remember but will send the copy of the approval.

My status still haven’t change on the website and app.

I called NVC and they still haven’t received my package from USCIS as yet.

It's just a matter of time now before you received a letter from NVC. Where will you do your interview?

We are thinking of you applerose and hoping your approval comes soon. I will never forget what the suffering is like at Nebraska. Don't lose sight of the light at the end of the tunnel. Everything is much better after NOA2.

Thanks.. I'm so frustrated with the long wait

I feel your pain. I just checked VJ processing times and Nebraska has been moved back to October. 10 steps forward 5 steps back.

On June 26th will be my 5 month mark. I am frustrated now and feeling depressed this morning. Never knew going about things the legal and right way would be sooooooo difficult.

We are all winners no matter how long this takes because we did this the correct way but my God USCIS needs to improve this is inhumane to have families torn apart for so long.

Just checked app and saw that 2 cases after my case number were issued RFE in april. The USCIS website states January 31st is the last time my case was upsate. So between then and now it just sits in a pile at someone's pleasure.

Sorry for the rant but i need an outlet. Hubby is frustrated too so can't rant to him. He said he doesn't want to hear anything until we get approval. So this topic is off limits. He doesn't even want to gather info for the next stage. Frustration is everywhere and i can't blame him but someone has to be level headed. So im trying to get documents together because our NVC will take 11 weeks as our embassy doesnt offer email processing so regular snail mail for us.

Just can't catch a break.

it is absolutely ridiculous that the legal way is this lengthy, expensive and just overall painful. 12-14 months to reunite with your loved ones is too much.

I'm also glad we're doing it the legal way since in the long haul overstaying a VISA and adjusting there isn't only ilegal, but would harm more people and it's unfair to others. But I completely understand how you're feeling, I just hit my 4 month mark a few days ago and nothing is happening still, I'm basically in queue hoping for them to start working on our case eventually.

I also understand that your husband is frustrated and doesn't want to talk about it. My husband is uncharacteristically chirpy about it, because he feels he has to be the positive one while I panic and think of all the possible scenarios, also obsessively prepare myself by reading about it and gathering all the information I can. But it is also taking a big toll on him and there are days were I just want to curl up and cry.

Hang in there. I know it's not helpful but, you're not going through this on your own, we're in it together and we will make it through, one day this will be just a memory, and we will keep it in mind to remember how much we accomplished and how lucky we are to be with the ones we love.

Dilorena, just noticed the quote from Harry met Sally in your signature; so true! I think that captures perfectly how we all feel about this horrible bureaucratic process... we all just can't wait to be with our love one again! Hang in there....!

Just when it looked like Nebraska was on a roll, what happened? This is beyond ridiculous. When i filed in November there was a 4 month wait, well we all know how that changed. 204 days for NOA2  approval, NVC just received our case today.

I watched my timeline move further and further back too, its very frustrating, i only went by the VJ estimate, no apps, ect.

So im sending positive thoughts to everyone here, and remember once past this part, it's suppose to get easier!!

Hang in there everyone!! :):)

October 31, 2016 I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox

November 4, 2016 Received text case sent to Nebraska

November 10, 2016 Received Hard copy of NOA1

It's really rough, it would be different if at least it was a stable, logical process. but it is all over the place, some wait 3 months, some wait 10, 12, 20... it is beyond terrible. We are all wanting to do things the legal way and follow the rules, but missing our loved ones is incredible sucky, and there is nothing we can do about it :( thank you <3 it means a lot, the support!

I'm so confused, how does it go backwards from processing (I-130) dates November 6th to now October 30th?

Moreover on their official website Nebraska was processing dates September 30th on March 31st.  So it took them over 2 months to process one months worth of I-130's? Is this correct? This can't be true.

Nebraska is a real hell for some, we are about to reach 8 months for our NOA2, we have no red flags. We have contacted congressman  O'rourke, they called back saying they will dig deep to figure out what is wrong.

That's right. Easier to understand and bear if it was stable and has a logical order.  I have been waiting for almost 7 months and to think I was really optimistic at the start seeing that cases from the Philippines usually get approved fast!  I am floating in limbo. Just paid for my child's tuition and she starts school this week, I wonder if we need to transfer or whether we can wait til the end of the school year in March (and if both are even possible).  I would like to start going back to work too in September but that too, is iffy.  Hubby knows am getting stressed out so he'd rather we not focus on this and he's the type who'll just wait for this process yo take its natural course.  I am getting crazy checking out VJ and two other USCIS apps numerous times in a day :-(
