It has been 146 days since our NOA1, has anyone else been waiting for longer than that for their NOA2? Any advice? @geowrian

There's a little under 100 Nov. filers that have not received a NOA2 or RFE yet. There's a couple Oct. filers still. Given your timeline, you're close to being outside of normal processing timelines (Nov. 15th as of the end of April). At that point, you can open a case inquiry and try to see what's going on.

Timelines:

ROC:

Yep, we're at 150 days with no word about anything. I've emailed USCIS with no response. Once it passes our received date (6th) I'm going to start calling. I'm not feeling confident that it's going to make any difference one way or another, unfortunately.

December 6, 2016: Case Received

December 9, 2016: Notified by email

December 11, 2016: NOA1 By Mail

December 11, 2016 - June 3, 2017: Waited and waited and waited, called, yelled, demanded answers. :-P

May 31, 2017: I-129F Approved

June 3, 2017: NOA2 by email

June 19, 2017: Called and received case number from NVC

Finally, we just got our MNL case number this morning! Total of 19days from our April12 NOA2.

Now, we're somehow in control of the schedules/timeline up to the interview (given all docs and tests results go in our favor)

Beneficiary from the Philippines here.

Aloha! 😊

Congratulations!!!! Soon us too. We just sent back the RFE it was for updated pictures and her letter.  (Simple) we just sent back for a copy they got it, so hopefully approved any day now!

Have you tried filing a congressional inquiry? It is usually much more efficient than trying to get any info out of USCIS.

We have a lawyer so I might ask him to do so, if not, I will definitely do so myself. We hit the 5 month park on Tuesday, if we dont hear back by then, I will file a congressional inquiry.

We're in exactly the same spot. Just waiting for the "official" 5 month mark before taking serious action (our received date is 12/6). I feel like we've tried to remain rational and civil about this for a looooong time now. We've been patient, understanding that some people just end up waiting longer than others, no rhyme or reason. That patience is running out now, especially since it is becoming clearer and clearer that we have no legitimate way of getting information about the hold up.

yes i totally can relate! my lawyer told us this is normal, so I dont know what else to do or who else to speak to about it. But I actually just emailed my congressman after reading @darina post to me. I will keep you posted on what his office says. I am tired of waiting.

Best of luck! I've heard mixed results from going the congressman route, but it's totally worth a shot!

We filed our inquiry well before 5 month mark, i think it was day 120 or something like that. We got our NOA2 on 135th day. And the USCIS responded to the inquiry within 48 hours.

We sent them an email with request and then called back to make sure they received it. Then they emailed some privacy agreement paperwork for us to sign, and in a few days they contacted the USCIS. It took about a week for the office to process our request and contact the USCIS (they emailed us once they did) and then within 48 hours they received a response from the USCIS, which they forwarded to us right away. The response was: you case will be updated within the next 45 days, if it doesn't you may contact USCIS again. But our case got approved in 10 days or so.
