I would like to apply for a b1/b2 visa for my husband, I filed a cr1 for him and it's at the Nvc for 4 months now, what are your thoughts???

You can't apply for him, he has to do it by himself.

You don't apply tourist visa for your husband, he has to apply one for himself.

He has to prove that he has strong ties to his home country:

By showing:

• That the purpose of his trip to the United States is for a temporary visit, such as business, pleasure, or medical treatment
  
• 
  
• That he plan to remain in the United States for a specific, limited period of time
  
• 
  
• Evidence of funds to cover his expenses while in the United States
  
• 
  
• That his have a residence outside the United States, as well as other binding social or economic ties, that will ensure his return abroad at the end of his visit
  

Since he has I-130 petiton/CR1 in waiting, the CO might strongly considers him with immigration intent and denies him tourist visa.

He can pay the money and try if he wants.

With case at NVC for 3.5 months, nearing case complete, B2 odds slim to zero. Closer to zero.

i can do that and i have, but i can't leave him the next time i go see him. And there is something going on at the NVC my case had been there for 4 months now.

My husband applied and was denied even with a lot of strong evidence (children, house, career, college). But it's certainly worth it as long as you can afford it! You never know.

Just be sure that he answers TRUTHFULLY, though. If he lies during the application you could have trouble during your CR-1 process.
