We all care. Keeping this site well organized is one of the main reasons why it is one of, if not, the best immigration sites on the web.

The OP is cluttering the board with questions in different places. It causes confusion and unnecessary posting. Like already mentioned she got her answer in another thread on the same topic so there is no need for other threads.

These were very much real questions and I'm 21. I feel like everyone is making a huge thing out of something that isn't. As I said before, I'm new to the site and am still learning the do's and don'ts. I was informed to post to the same thread and will do so from the future. I made a mistake and I learned from it. Thank you to everyone who gave me good advice and for those who informed me in a respectful manner.

I was in a very similar spot. I am a college student as well and just barely missed the income requirements.

We used my dad as a cosponsor for the K-1 and had no issues!

I will not that London embassy is probably one of the most, if not the most lax on income requirements, but I am sure Germany would be relatively reasonable.

As long as your co-sponsor makes enough you should be fine!

Just keep in mind though that if the co-sponsor has any household members then they need to be added to the total household count as well your fiance when calculating how much is needed.

I still live with my family but my co-sponsor is a very close family friend, though she doesn't live near me. I consider her to be like my aunt. It's just her and her husband so I imagine she easily meets the requirements, though I'll double check

So we don't have to file in Brussels? Anywhere in the Schengen area is ok?

You send it to the texas lockbox and then once it is approved it'll go to NVC and they will send it to the embassy in his country. You can't pick and choose ...

I suggest you read the guides really good and carefully, also the I-134 (Affidavit of Support). Your embassy/consulate will be Brussels once your approved petition arrives there for your interview. You send your petition to Texas Lockbox, Lewisville. They will send it to California and process it. Like Georgia said, you can't pick and choose.

You will indeed still use the Belgian US Embassy located in Brussels for your interview. I am very sorry for the confusion.

In my K1 visa experience, I was K1 beneficiary and my ex was petition. We did not submit any financial document at the time we filed to USCIS and they did not request it either. When my documents was forwarded to US Embassy in my country, I had to prepared another package (as known Package 3) for visa application so I sent I-134 along with the package, my ex had income only $4000 which was very low income base on government requirement, the Embassy neither ask co-sponsor. Even when I went to interview, I had my cousin signed for me a co-sponsor but the Officer said Affidavit of the petition is enough we don't need co-sponsor for K1-visa. But you will need it if you don't meet requirement when you file Adjust of status for your fiancee after you guys get married in U.S.A

Can they deny based on public charge even if the petitioner's income meets the requirement ? Like, my fiancee is above the 125% needed for AOS, but not that much above... only like U$ 3000 above. I get worried about it sometimes since we are both really young, she works but also studies and I just graduated from law school this year, so we are still not in that place in life where we have an easy time with finances...
