With this visa you HAVE to get married in the USA. He won't ask it.

10/13/2016: Filed AOS + EAD/AP.   07/07/2017: Permanent resident (Conditional)
04/16/2019: Filed ROC  11/17/2020: Approved. (10 yr GC)

10/22/2020: Biometrics Reuse Notice.  12/22/2020: Online Status Changed to Interview Was Scheduled.

The truth is always best when speaking to a CO.

There is no clear cut answer because that depends on your situation.

Ill use me...for example :yes:

My fiancee is in Dominican Republic??

1) K1 is faster for us to be together.

2) He has no immediate family in DR his mom is passed away my mom is not she would wanna se her daugther married vs he who doesnt have a preference.

3) For and american to marry in DR they have to bring and apostile birth record and when I went I had not gotten it plus it cost more to marry there for me then in the US

My mom can make the cake shes a cake designer

Cost is about the same for marriage

I have my brothers house for our ceramony

I want my daugthers with me and it will cost alot to get my family there VS he here...

But thats my bit everyone has different reasons...

If she/he asks that, he's looking for your personal reason. So, give that.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

I think I've read it wrong and agree with what the last two comments. Explain your benefits to the CO like, "I feel the USA has more to offer to our relationship" or, "Family-wise better" Something that is just honest to your reasons to marry in the US and stay there. My apologies for reading the topic wrong and giving the wrong answer.

My fiance was asked why he chose the US over staying in the UK and he mentioned how I have my own apartment here and am farther along with my education and have a full time job. These weren't the only reasons but it seemed like a reasonable answer. Obviously it's a personal question so your answer is going to be different, I just thought I would share our experience.

What If a CO ask you about "Why you gonna marry your fiance in USA? Why not here in Philippines?" What would be the best answer for this? Thanks a lot ?

Highly unlikely to be asked that question, the K-1 visa IS for marriage in the USA ;) (Therein is the answer)

Assuming I echo your collective intentions:

Because we want to live our lives together in the US and since the K-1 normally takes a shorter amount a time to obtain, this will allow us to begin our lives together, in the US, as soon as possible.

If they ask me this question my answer will be my truthful reason which is... we want to live in the USA. My partner has a full time permanent job and qualifications that she has studied for years to get so we feel our situation would be better in the US rather than the UK. For us to marry in the UK and then move to US would mean us applying for the visa to marry here then applying for a marriage visa for USA. We do not want to seperate from each other whilst waiting for the this to all go through. We simply want to be together and start our lives together. I can only be truthful but hopefully this will not cause a denial.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
