i have read about similar situations in here and always love wins at the end despite of all the hindrances.

Probably because those that are denied don't stick around. The ones that stay are the ones that are approved and move on to the next stage (AOS, ROC, naturalisation, etc).

The more visits and facetime they spend before they file anything the better, for both of them.

Totally agree! All this "they are soooo in love!" And "love always wins" is meaningless to the embassy. They want hard evidence of spending time together, doing things together, of being a genuine couple determined to make a relationship work. Not Danielle Steele novels. If she loves him as much as she claims, she will find a way. Take a second job to pay for the tickets. Move into a cheaper apartment to save the money to see him. Someone here has a signature line that says "if you really want it, you'll find a way" and I think that sums it up nicely.

If his visa is denied, I'm assuming she will happily move to his country?

Thanks for all the tips you stated, i totally agree with you,i have been through something similiar and we finally made it.

It is true immigration officers only bilieve in evidences not in love stories and more face time, more trips are going to be made to strengthen the case, i was only trying to give him the best advice i can because i ve never seen him that happy.

Idont know if they talked about her mooving to his country or not but still a good opcion for both.

I remember when i used to watch 90 days fiance visa on TLC seen a couple with a very huge age difference , she was 18 Filipino and he was 50 somthing and he even had a daughter at her age ...so he is not going to be the first one to fell in love with someone older than him, sometimes you dont choose who! And where at! Love is beautiful.

I am not one to jump to conclusions but you are right. Let's just say it is rather common to see SOME much much older men "shopping" for young wives in third world countries with the promise of a brighter future in the USA. We have even seen cases in which, when one does not work out, they move onto the next one and so forth. People usually brush this off as "cultural differences", making these situations more acceptable. In those cases, the truth is that it is just a transaction that has little to do with love and everything to do with convenience on both ends of the deal. And it is also true that couples where the woman is older and the man comes from places like the one you mentioned have a much harder time than the former. Your friend should expect thorough scrutiny and yes, as many visits as possible before filing are what I would suggest. Good luck for them in their journey.

or that he already knew that woman before applying for F1.

Wait, he met the US woman AFTER applying for the F1? So they've know each other for less than two weeks and already talking marriage???

When it comes to the age difference, you have to look at the culture of the country. Is it culturally common and accepted with older women and younger men? What about children. From what I remember from spending a summer in Spain, family and having children are extremely important in Spain. You do that whole thing with the younger generation taking care of the older generation. So your friend being young and having to give up children might be a problem in Spain.

With that being said, after watching 90 day fiancé and reading the news and stories here on VJ and other sites, it seems K-1s are pretty easy to get so they might wanna try for a k-1 instead. Just out of interest, does anyone know where to find statistics for approvals and denials of K-1s?

Hotel Waiter from Morocco wanting to study English Literature at a US University is certainly different.

I can imagine the Consulate's confusion.
